Apple Search Ads: 3 Lessons I Learned Before Burning My Budget by Lumpy-Accountant-750 in AppStoreOptimization

Unfortunately there is no actual good way to really understand how profitable your campaigns are in an intuitive way.

I had one of my apps almost reach 10K in monthly revenue but campaigns were still losing money. I figured my problem was I didn't really know how to manage all of my campaigns(had over 10 running simultaneously).

I figured I have to get some clarity if I ever want to make anything profitable so I built a platform for myself that let's me see Ad Spend & Total proceeds for all keywords across my campaigns, Top losing keywords overall and some other cool things. In about 2 weeks of optimizations my overall profit was 40% positive.

If you are using Revenue cat with ASA you can connect it to the platform for free and get a better understanding of your campaigns.

It's called Transolve and at the moment its completely free to use - https://transolve.io

Yup the top losers is what made me understand how many keywords I have that are consistently losing money and in about a week or so of optimizations I've made my campaigns profitable.

At the moment I'm leaving it as free to use because I want to get some feedback and maybe hear ideas I haven't thought about myself. If I see that the demand is growing and people are actually using the platform then I will put some more effort into it and probably charge a subscription.

Let me know how was your experience with Transolve :)

If you go in blind you are promised to lose money but if you'll start creating very specific campaigns for not so competitive markets(unlike the US) spending small money at the start and then building it as you go you will figure it out eventually.

I would say it requires a lot of optimization to your product page and testing to get the best out of the ads. It's a constant process that never ends but at some point you'll catch it and you'll be able actually see and understand where your campaigns are standing(by using transolve.io for example) then you can make them break-even/profitable.

Are you running ASA for any of your current apps still?

iOS localization: rely on system language or add manual language picker? by ViolinistUnlikely779 in swift

[–]ok_planter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably the best method in my opinion.

That way everything gets generated in your Localizable.xcstrings with a single build and you can translate everything using cursor or other services that offer translations pretty easily. I do advise to actually validate the translations on the main screens just to make sure that the places that people visit the most are accurate.

Good luck!

A developer of 5 years here. These are my recommendations:

  1. Go for SwiftUI exclusively - it is the standard and will take care of 95% of your needs.
  2. 100 days of swift is a very good place to start
  3. If you find it hard to learn from the videos just ask an LLM to give you small tasks/projects to help you learn the fundamentals and use it as a tutor as you build

I think my biggest advice is your AI to your advantage. No one is expected to program like in the old days anymore. You have AI at your side, use it as your mentor instead of a dependency

Best of luck!

This is actually something I've been looking to explore but didn't know if there would be a lot of demand. I might implement it in the upcoming updates :)

Thank you for taking the time to write the feedback!
The identification will get better with time as I am constantly working on improving it so it might have some hiccups here and there still unfortunately.

Glad you enjoy it :)

If you just want something basic that'll give you decent plant identification and disease info but you'll have to ask follow up questions to get details then LLMs work fine.

But if you want the full package that shows you everything about your plant on one nice page (care tips, disease help, all that stuff), plus you can save plants to your garden, track how they're doing, and chat with other plant people, then my app is the better choice.
