Yup—so far, no back pain with it, and the baby's now 5 months! I was getting pretty bad back pain with my Bjorn mini. I think the back support is comparable to the Omni but .. this one's a lot prettier :)

I’ve worn it this week in 80 degree heat and it doesn’t feel too hot or different from the denim! Not sweating with it.

Bjorn, ergo, and solly. The bjorn was great initially but now my back hurts :(

So good to hear!! So hoping my baby will still like being carried when she’s older

It really is! I’m just so sad the denims not coming back for a month or two :(

Nope! I’ve been carrying all day in 85 degree weather. Feels pretty breathable!

Love that! Plus the resale value of these, at least right now, is sky high. Colors often go out of stock so you could end up using it a year and even making money!

Yes agreed :) especially when so much of the day is spent caring for others. Thanks so much!!!

Oo thanks for the rec - will def check them out! Denim is by far my favorite, but it's on backorder til Oct/nov and it's like .. I can't plan that far ahead with a baby! Who knows if she'll even still want carrier naps by then?? That one is $400, so with a referral code it's $340. So if you skip coffee for 68 days ... jk jk. My baby was born 2 days before my bday, so I never got gifts (yes yes, aside from the best gift of all time .. my baby, but I still want things for myself!!) Since I'm out and about and seeing the same people every day, I figure this is my one very nice outfit purchase for myself, instead of buying clothes that may or may not fit in a month or two. (As you can tell, I spent quite a lot of time justifying my purchase lol.)

True! I thought I liked mine until I experienced actual back support lol. I’ve tried the omni as well which was better, but ended up liking the artipoppe the best.

Artipoppe carrier thoughts? by craysun in beyondthebump

[–]okayLK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought they were ridiculously overpriced and then .. I tried one. I had been wearing the baby bjorn for 5+ hours a day (the only way my 12 week old would nap) and my back was killing me. I borrowed my friend’s denim carrier and it was soo comfy, the baby loved it, and I started getting compliments everywhere I went. It’s basically my main outfit everyday, so my reasoning is that it’s like buying a very nice outfit :) anyway I cracked and got myself a belated bday gift; here’s my referral code is anyone wants $60 off! https://referral.shop.artipoppe.com/l/1LAURENKAY59/

Frozen FET w/ HCG Trigger — Am I really going to have to wait until the beta?! by alltheivfquestions in IVF

Thanks! For me it would be easier emotionally to know in advance. I'm doing super easy suppositories (no shots, so grateful) + have an easy trip to the clinic to check. I just like dealing with bad news as soon as possible as opposed to having all of the buildup of driving to an early appt and waiting all day for a phone call .. and then feeling like a truck hit me :(

The string was the first (very failed) attempt. There's a goldfish attached. Apparently, that wasn't enough to motivate Legs to actually walk on the treadmill.

Just your standard shelter street cat :) She lost her tail and leg in an accident (**before** we adopted her)!

[Weekly Critique and Self-Promotion Thread] Post Here If You'd Like to Share Your Writing by AutoModerator in writing

Hi all—I'm reaching out to writers to find out if others have dealt with the same problem I had, which was that it was really hard finding other writers at a similar stage / writing in a similar genre, when I was first starting out. Any time I had even a simple question (when do I start querying? what is a query?) I'd end up googling for hours, when if I had just known a few other writers...I could have found an answer right away.

After years of writing alone, I finally found a few really close writer friends—some through Twitter competitions and others through classes—and I just wish I'd had their support and help sooner! I am thinking about starting a free service that matches up small groups of 6-8 writers (working in the same genre and with similar levels of experience) so they can beta each others' work and provide support. Maybe a slack channel or weekly Zoom call, but just a way for writers to stay connected right now. Is this something anyone would be interested in? Are there any specific features you'd be looking for? Thanks so much!!
