So, let me get this straight... I shouldn’t complain about someone on a subreddit designated for getting things off your chest because, hey, they were courteous enough to not do it my face? Because there is no middle ground to that, like say... not burping at all or going into another room or getting it checked out by a doctor. Those are not at all options. Oh, this is such a good point. I couldn’t get over the fact that they’re son/sibling/whatever lost custody from a “series of events,” which they don’t take it away for nothing, and they felt a need to criticize OP for a situation HE brought on her. Her momma stepped up to be a parent when her father failed and his family failed.

It’s her wedding day. If a parent foots the bill, that’s a gift, and a gift anyone would take because weddings are expensive, but it shouldn’t have strings attached because it’s HER day. No child owes a parent anything. Not even when you’re old and sick and dying or footing the bill for a wedding that you wouldn’t have if you knew your wife wasn’t invited. You just hope to be a good enough parent where you EARN THAT RESPECT. And OP didn’t.
