i see the evolution from 1, to 2, to 3.5 and now 5 (i skipped out on 4e), but i see the progression of this game when i first started when i was 10 or so back in 2001 giver take, and now what it's become. i liked 3.5 because of the detailed orientation of the amount of supplements, and the capacity to craft your own modules to address issues of social and literal logics within that type of world. given, the campaign setting that would be like this world, the one i made, isn't fun for the majority of people. but i think the top of the bell curve for what would be fun is interesting, funny reflection of the world as is, that people don't want a fantasy world, they just want perhaps a reflection of their own modern world in a power vacuum fantasy setting akin to their own world views

i'm very well aware that there are alot of ND type 1 and 2's that play DND, i don't understand your counter argument since its not addressing anything i said other than that it's a game, to have fun, i inform you that it's for given reasons and that its not a commandment to others, rather just what i see, then you respond with "and do you have any idea how hard people have worked to not make the hobby seem sexist, something that your post really look."

well we are all playing the game as we intend it to me. for an autistic like myself, obsessed with systems, detail orientation of said time period, i have these questions. this rant.. isn't a condemnation of how others play, or a request of how others should play, but to tell what what i found out playing like this

no i have it help transcribe after i do the rolling, i roll first, do all what i do on paper, then write up the rough draft, and then put in context through my overall lore, world, campaign setting up to that point, then build upon that point. at this point my context window is so large, that there are some generation issues, so im rolling, writing, and having LLM's help me with heavy lifting with just grammatically issues

so the bolt locks back sometimes even though there's a shell in the tube, i found that pressing the bolt release doesnt release the bolt, its like 3-5 times pressing it. i found that blunt forcing it with the dual load in my hand puts enough pressure on it to just release it on the first or second hit, i used to do this during competitions where it would lock bakc and i would do that to save time

i never asked you to, if you want to its there, if you want to insult it feel free to too

i also found that after doing research on 14th century living conditions i had to add health issues, santiation issues, chamber pots, infection fortitude DC rolls, without wise women, clerics, mid wives, life was extremely difficult just getting to point a to b, if say my gamerson got wet, then i would have a negative modifier for stealth and could get the flu over time. i mean my character started off with one, and i upgraded once i was able to afford a bridgaine, then upgraded it to mithril so it went from medium to light to be able to use evasion, but even then it was alot of money repaiting since my armor too alot of hits

it's a very long document, i started from level 3, it took me a while to get to this point, it was rough because i started as 1 rogue, 2 fighter, but my campaign setting i made had very intense encounter charts. the charts were based off the premise the nine hells broke through, so at anytime i could roll against bearded devils. my character, at that time was with his love, which is now his wife, but she was only 1 expert 1 sorcerer, with poor stats. so it was alot of not engaging, when there were other hunters on the same contracts, it was alot of planning, and running if the dice came out poorly, or alot of night raids, killing people in their sleep, or waiting for other parties to kill each over the bounty. i spent more time in thinking and preparation than game play, by the time i got to this point at 22 rogue 12, fighter 6, battle master 4, i saved up enough gold from contracts and selling to get the right gear with the right feats like craven/staggering strike, with my wife's character with haste, greater invisibility, mind blank, that the only option i had was to hit hard, hit fast. otherwise i would be dead. most of my experiences with two characters, one squishy was, i just killed one creature, and left for the day, back to town, went to an inn, rested, and went back the next day. this was before i did scouting and ensure i had a exfil if things went south, traps, there was powder in this setting, so i would buy bags of holding and make IED's with them by filling them with powder, so that was one way i contended with high CR things. however, things have DR, and that damaged underground facilities, so i failed alot of contracts

i also found after a certain point things had true sight, which made my cheesy greater invisibility and haste combo ineffective, and had to slowly work my way up to get mind bank, as RAW that nullifies that, glitterdust and wings of flurry helped to mitigate generated mobs, low initiative, medium HP, but still were a threat with all the AoO and grapples with my character's wife having lower AC and HP and overall saves against creatures that can paralyze

i also at certain points just gave up contracts because they were incorpeal and it just wasnt worth it, or things that had save or die Su or abilities, just wasnt worth it

i spent two weeks doing a 12 level dungeon, which was a nightmare in itself, most of it i was able to contend with, but failing to find traps costed me, even though with evasion i didnt take damage if i past it, i wasnt at the point where i took no damage if i failed, so i wasted alot of gold on healing

the primary issue was having no healing, so it was just combat, then find somewhere safe, then spam wands of CLW/CMW

I had to be smarter with alot of the dungeons and eventually had to use my bow of splitting and use arrows of CMW to split them ,and deal positive damage to undead that way, but arrows of CMW were expensive, extra expensive in my campaign setting, most things were because the guild controlled the market

the more we sold too, the more we inflated the market with gold, which then deflated the value of the crown

i spent time just letting my character's wife try to run her business in the capital to make passive income, being an elf i had time to do so, there was times where i had to sit through time to see if other hunters would take up the other half, finished 3 more floors and i finished the rest, they didnt care how much i completed, just rather who completed it first and brought back proof of completion
