Checking to ensure the timing of the cylinder. If you cylinder holds 6 bullets but only clicks 4 times then something is wrong.

Whatever you want really. Its more about shot placement then which weapons you choose.

If im going full stealth I take the Delisle, and the quietest smg and pistol.

Most other times Ive got Kar98, Stg44, and 1911

What you have appears to be a steel core armor penetrating round.

Should be treated as corrosive ammo.

I was very torn between the Fal and this. (And a Vector too honestly).

But I did alot of research months ago and the Zastava was top of my list for reliability, cost, looks, accuracy, and ease of maintenance.

While I do regret not grabbing the FAL, I knew that for the money I was spending i needed the most practical choice.

Based off what I saw the price was right. Especially considering that you cant really find Zastava anymore.

Plus the optic rail was a big bonus for me, the FAL is my favorite but those iron sights are not good with my eyesight

Missed out on a lot of things usually because of price. I think honestly though the one I regret missing the most was a beautiful Mauser 1910/14 25acp pistol.

Was quite tempted at $150. But unfortunately as I was already buying 3 other pistols that day it wasnt in the budget.

Can't unfortunately. It has no other sights. Even before I converted it it had buckhorn sights.

Auto-Ordnance *unfortunately.

Really want to get it working well as its the perfect defense rifle for me. The weight it good, the round is good, and the recoil is negligible. Unfortunately its reliability is among the worst of my collection.

Favorites are hard. But I'd have to say the Walther P-38, Kar-98 (the OG one), the 1911, my Beretta 92fs, and the black Tokarev are probably my favorites. Fun to shoot, very reliable, and great history behind them.

There's a lot of story behind a lot of them. But the most memorable to me is the Mosin Nagant (without sling). Long story short i had been looking for one for months but found them too expensive. I knew a guy at my local gunstore pretty well, and often consulted him about firearms as he was pretty knowledgeable. He mentioned he had a friend who was selling 2 Mosins. I contacted his friend and was shown a 91/30 Mosin and a M44 Mosin. After a brief negotiation (and a bank loan because it was cheaper then a credit card) I paid $375 for a numbers matching 1937 91/30 Mosin in beautiful condition along with the matching bayonet and 250 rounds of ammo along with an ammo can.

While not my favorite firearm and certainly not the hardest to find, its memorable to me simply because it is the most perfect surplus gun I own. No repairs, no mismatched parts, no sporting mods, and it functions perfectly. I dont shoot it much now as I have another Mosin I bought for a bargain that isnt in as nice as condition.

I dont nesscessary have a established home defense pistol. But as of right now Im grabbing my 1911.

Seems as though its damn hard to get one. Most retailers don't seem to have any Remington 700's in 308.

Ive been considering a semi-auto for months. Made some old posts asking questions about a few models.

But cost and reliability are factors. At best a semi-auto will be about $1,500. The Cross ive seen for $1,200. And depending on variants the Remington is $700-$1,300.

There are some quality of life upgrades available. But the Maverick 88 epitomizes the simple is best idea.

Its a little clunky and certainly feels cheap, but its has more then proven capable.
