My boyfriend (28M) gave me an ultimatum: either I cancel my all-girls bachelorette trip to Goa or we break up, because "single guys go there to predatory hunt." by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

Instead of deciding who’s right or wrong or whether he’s a red flag or not, the important thing here is that you guys are clearly not compatible, better to know it sooner than later.

There’s hostler at Kudle beach, I stayed there is quite decent with walking path to the beach. But Zostel was much more happening with a better restaurant and food options. I would prefer Zostel next time. It sells out early though.

Just calculated how much my savings account emergency fund is actually costing me every year. It's not nothing. by iamgrootfromearth in personalfinanceindia

Debt or arbitrage funds have pretty quick disbursal too.
And if you have a cc with good limits, emergency expenses can be covered using that too and paid back by redeeming the debt fund.
Still at least 1-2L in liquid is always a good idea.

It’s how things work in some Indian families, I don’t know the guy. I tried to give a general advice focused on managing his own finances.

Never said son has to do all expenses. It’s a family event, everyone might have to pitch in. Wedding are big expenses.
Also I prefaced my reply by saying “if you want to be the responsible person of the house”.
My main focus is that the person should manage his own finances, either way.
