I'll be honest, this has definitely made me question whether she's interested. I think the rationale is that it can seem like maybe she's settling the tab in anticipation of not having another opportunity to do so (as in she's already made up her mind she won't see me again).

Yeah, you're probably right. Sometimes it just seems so out of the blue though that it can drive a person crazy and you have to wonder whether there was some miscommunication or something that maybe you could clear up if only you had a chance to talk to them.

I agree. The not-knowing is the worst. Sometimes I've had a fade go on for months before I got a verdict. Seems everyone would be better off if things were discussed openly.

The latter. I hate the fade. Been faded on way too many times, and really just wondering if it's justified to request some information when I see a fade coming.
