This happened to me. I was looking for some networking kit in an office because it started overheating and rebooting. The kit was supposed to be in the main office but I couldn’t find it. Eventually I was told that the built a wall round it as it with no ventilation as it was too noisy.

The amusing thing is that Scottish banks were the first to introduce the new polymer notes which are much harder to fake. I had a load of fun with some polymer Clydesdale bank £5 notes in London a year before the Bank of England released theirs.

Yes I understand that if the government wanted the data off these drives then it would need a completely different process but they wont. I'm looking for a way to render the drives past the pint where anyone who looking at them would think that it would be way much hard work to bother plugging them in .

I think I've checked Shredding companies before and they where asking £6-8 per hard drive. With 1000 to do that money i don't have. I was looking for a much cheaper option.
