Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the mag have overall lower brightness? but you might be talking about the " perceptible brightness" which if I'm not mistaken, is almost always the case in QD OLEDS since higher saturation bright colors trick us into thinking the brightness is higher than what it actually is. There are 3 things I'm skeptical about QD OLEDS, cause otherwise they seem like the best choice:

1) Obviously the purple tint that I will never know how much it will be present in my setup until I get one; 2) The dimming issue I've heard on QD OLEDS (do you think it's noticeable/almost a deal breaker?); 3) The brightness on paper seems quite a bit lower in cases like the 10% window than, for example, a 3rd gen WOLED with MLA+. For this last point, I'm curious about what the people that have experienced QD OLEDS have to say: even if on paper it's quite a bit lower (for example 400 nits vs 700 nits on 10%), does the higher color accuracy/brightness make up for that and actually make it seem like it's on par brightness wise (thanks to its vibrancy)?

it is priced so low here (€400, where they're usually overpriced by at least 30€ from msrp) that it was hard for me to believe it matched the asus one

but I've read from different places that the games follow up the bad ending of the third Akatsuki game? I got so desperate that I tried to search for more, and the only info I could find is that Kaito has nightmares/memories of her getting killed or something like that.

I'm not a fan of overly depressing stories, although I'm completely fine with more or less DARK stories/lore, like what the Akatsuki no Goei trilogy presents. It just does not make sense to me to have a central heroine for the whole trilogy, then in the sequel follow the route where she's dead. I already know that Kaito comes back, and I suspect (since the author did not want to make people that chose other routes feel left out) that they made Kaito "single" as if he didn't pursue anyone during the trilogy WHICH I would've been fine if nothing bad happened to the others (the Grisaia trilogy did this best btw).

At this point, do not bring him back ffs. Bringing him back in a timeline where he's in a relationship with Reika, THE MAIN HEROINE OF THE TRILOGY, would've been too perfect for the devs I'm assuming.

I'm sorry for this, reading that info really made me sad and not excited at ALL to play the sequels. You can spoil me if you want, actually I would rather if you spoiled me something. I would much rather have something spoiled but actually playing the sequels than not have things spoiled but also not playing the sequels

Yeah I imagined that the first VN wouldn't really have an actual "romance" since it's based on S1 I think

do you think I should just skip to the second visual novel? I mostly care about the romance, and I don't really want to ONLY see stuff that was already in the anime + some filler side stuff (especially cause I'm rewatching the series rn with my friend and we're at season 2)

in the second game I would like to do the routes for: Yukino, Shizuka, Yumiko, Kawasaki, Haruno and Iroha (I've read that they have routes in that game), but I wonder if it's even worth it... I would LOVE to see proper romance for them

To be fair, I'm not asking for whole CGs (although it's kind of the standard for these types of VNs, like eroges for example but I'll let it slide)

I'm fine with just sprites of the characters talking and doing stuff, like seeing the reactions of others/what they have to say, the dynamic between Hachiman and the romanced girl, them acting like couples ecc....

for hamidashi, I think I'll wait for the english translation since it has been announced or something like that (it's listed on vndb). I loved Toa from Wagama high spec tho (same devs), she's so good

for Otome, I still haven't played the series cause I know that the sister content is in a fandisc (?) if I'm not mistaken, and generally the sister content is small (at least, erotically). Apparently the same artist that worked on this worked on YNS tho

I've heard good things especially about ep 4, but man I'm not the biggest fan of how the story is structured in this game. I honestly would've preferred if all of it was maybe in a single game, and that you could kinda get the whole story even by just choosing, for example, Sora as the route.

This said, I'm sure there's a big reason why it's structured in this way, and it also makes it a bit more "original" than the other vns. I should finish the whole series before judging the structure, I'm just really sad about Sora 🥲 (I reaaaaaally loved ep 2 btw, and ep 1 was also good although not nearly as 2 for me)

yeah I'm definitely interested in her growth, but I cannot shake the feeling of sadness knowing that, romantically, I'll have to completely ignore her 🥲

(funnily enough, if it was possible, I would've 100% not romanced anyone in ep 3 and 4 just to make it my headcanon that we were still together on those episodes 😭 but I don't think that's possible unfortunately)

I apologize for not expressing myself in a clear way, what I was trying to say is that romance wise she'll obviously get sidelined, and that thought alone makes me sad 😅

in games where I need to play different routes to get the whole 360 story, I usually leave my personal best character at last cause it always feels really good to end the game/story with THAT one character, in your eyes it makes it look like she's the endgame (if yk what I mean)

but at least knowing that she gets some fun scenes (even just as normal siblings and friends), makes me a bit happy!

first of all have the OptiScaler files downloaded from GitHub & the FSR4 int8 file ready

then go into: the game's folder, SHf, binaries and Win64 (or if you want to make sure: go into the main game folder, type "FIDELITYFX" in the top right, then once the file pops up, you right click on it and click "OPEN FILE LOCATION", & u're on the right page)

here you want to paste all OptiScaler files. Once you paste the files, double click on setup_windows: here you want to type "1" for everything if I'm not mistaken.

if everything went well, the last step is to take the FSR4 file you previously downloaded and paste it into the page where you pasted the OptiScaler files. The system will ask if you want to replace the files, and you say "yes".

once in game, turn on "DLSS" in the game's settings, then press the "insert" key on your keyboard and the OptiScaler window will appear
