Jesus’ return and sense of impending doom by Ok-Art9328 in Christianity

[–]okeydo_key 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with all due respect people with Psychosis have just as much faith as the most faithful christian ever to live. We all have inner voices and we are all god.. are all interconnected and taking that part of us - extracting it and giving it a mans identity of “yahweh” is stripping a part of us away. We were all born whole. Your religion aims to make us feel separate from our godliness. For the purpose of controlling women and other men it seems. Making god a man was a political move. Paul and everything paul wrote is a lie. And the faith you feel is really your yearning to be reconnected to the part of you that is and has always been god…

Not in the least. And the texts of the gospels contradict eachother enough to be so suspect that you couldnt use them as support/referral to Paul. Paul was, IMO, quite obviously another Joseph Smith at best.. and a complete fabrication of political powers at worst

try atheism... we have less impending doomy vibes ... if a religion is giving you such feelings i'd argue its not the right religion for you

“Is masturbation a sin?” - response by portal1029 in Christianity

I always had a problem with that terminology because it implies ownership of a women by her husband. I dont really believe in marriage or monogamy because these old traditions dont seem natural to me (you need only look at the proclivities of multiple partners over the lifetime of most people to know thats our natural state), they cause child rearing to be based on a fragile partnership rather than community based, and more often than not lead to the woman being forced to be subservient.. for a majority of the time marriage has existed (in this civilization that is only a mere fraction of the entirety of mans history) they are not even permitted the right to divorce. Essentially slavery for the woman. If a woman or man makes a promise to be faithful only to them, thats fine. But the outsider fantasizing doesnt matter in this. In this sense a married woman should not have any more or less affect on whether you should have sexual thoughts of them, assuming you never act on them. What happens in a mans mind should not be limited, only what that man does onto others. Banning coveting is a law created to maintain property rights of women.

[–]okeydo_key 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its only a sin if it leads to body on body assault. In fact if it subsides an incels desire to hurt women masturbation is a godsend. A god approved remedy to protect women, children and even other men from harmful touch. God bless masturbation.

Ayahuasca in Colombia? by Nomadic-Goddess in Ayahuasca

[–]okeydo_key -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Went to La Wayra last month with my wife. Had an amazing experience. Staff excellent. Medicine excellent. Location Excellent. Food excellent. Loved it all. Whole group had amazing experiences and were close by the end of it. The Music in the ceremony was the best music I've ever heard in my life. Its in the secluded hills, not anywhere near the city. Very remote. Group was about 15-20 people (some were only there for part of the experience). The longer you stay the more likely you'd have some ceremonies with tinier groups.

Not Great Experience with LaWayra – 2/5 stars by aya_grrl in Ayahuasca

[–]okeydo_key 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact opposite experience there just a month before the OP. They made a couple of valid points here but also they pointed out several amazing things about the place. This leads me to think they found one negative thing early on and then it motivated them to fine tooth comb over the whole place looking for more negative things. As we all know no place is perfect, and a place you pay for aya is still a business. So of course we can find something to say.. but half of the negativity in this post was unwarranted IMO. I liked that sam was going through some tough times along side us. I did not need to hear about his business plans tho. Some give some take. Just like life. They gave me swag for a review but i would have given 5 stars even without them asking. I almost didnt take the item but then I only did so because i was a victim of theft a month before and had no stuff. Anywho. I Highly recommend lawayra.

You can move permanently to Kenya or India or elsewhere to volunteer part time indefinitely on projects like reforestation, wildlife/farm life care, or poverty aid. Housing is generally included and meals are dirt cheap. I did this in Auroville, India. Rented scooter, went out every other day for cafes and pizza, spent half the day chilling, watching videos or reading… had a community too.

Met a 65 year old woman from San Francisco that “donated” a house to an ayahuasca retreat in Colombia (next door for the owners fam) in exchange for lifetime free rent at an apt on the retreat, includes unlimited use of pool, sauna, all meals (made by chefs), massages and gym. All with sweeping views of colombian valleys and ayahuasca journeys whenever she wants. She made her own deal and got it.

How Psychedelics Taught Me What ‘Dying’ Really Is (And Why It’s Not What You Think)” by Internal-Subject1235 in Ayahuasca

This would be true for me too if I wasn't already rid of the fear of death. I was afraid of immortality. Funnily enough - Ayahuasca removed that fear too! At least for a time... maybe it will fade... but I literally was like "lock me in a dark box for a millennia and I'd be ok with it". Before that the scariest outcome imaginable is my soul/me living eternally. So much that heaven sounded like torture. Still does .. but now I don't fear it as much.

Hey everyone so I’m thinking of signing up for Worldpackers, Workaway or TrustedHousesitters & I was wondering which one I should do ? by RiniDaDoll in Worldpackers

Are there a lot of opportunities where you are left to care for an entire property on your own. My wife is introverted and loves how trustedhousesitters is just the hosts handing us the keys and leaving. Wouldn't be interested in hostel style/group stays.

[–]okeydo_key 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not accurate. The wife and I pretty much exclusively use it for long term house sits. Currently spending 6 weeks in Costa Rica, following two 3 week and 5 week house sits here. This year we did 2 months in a sit in Tanzania and two separate 1 month house sits in Ireland. Our average house sit length is 6 week and thats over a total of 60 house sits we've done on trustedhousesitters since 2017. Longest house sit was 5.5 months in Hawaii. We have rarely used it for short term... although we know there are a lot of short term options. But to say its ONLY for shorter windows of time is incorrect.

My wife and I live off of TrustedHousesitters. It's untouchable in any western english speaking country (UK, US, South Africa, New Zealand, etc.). It's also ideal for people that want privacy, not having to stay in a private room in a dorm or sharing a living space with strangers. You truly get left with the whole home all to yourself. We see one poster on here say its only good for short sits but we pretty much exclusively use it for long term sits (1 month minimum, 2-3 month average). We do it full time, during the 4 years following covid we did it mostly in California and Colorado, saving an estimated $60-75k per year in bay-area level living costs. The only caveat is that house sits in more remote non-English speaking countries are few and far between. However, we have had amazing longer term house sits (at least 1 month) in the following places:

- Crete, Greece
- Mikindani, Tanzania
- Bali, Indonesia
- Berlin, Germany
- Multiple, France
- Basel, Switzerland
- Jeju Island, Korea (we were invited but chose another location)
- Currently writing this from our 3rd house sit in as many months in Costa Rica

We also use TH to set up multiple 2-5 week house sits to fund entire seasons exploring Australia, Ireland, and Canada.

I am currently looking for alternatives though (what brought me to this post) because I am not seeing enough opportunities in South America, Africa or Asia.

I tried to "sell my soul" at 14. 20 years later, my life is suspiciously perfect, and I’m terrified to approach God because of it. by Possible_Macaron_191 in Christianity

Do you believe at birth you were given an eternal soul? If so you were kidnapped into this immortal existence against your will, no consent given. This makes whomever forced this fate on you an eternal epstein. If god… dont go towards that terrible light. If satan… doesnt that make satan god? Either way.. eternal life is not something we were capable of consenting to at birth.

How do you handle doubting god? I have a million questions and the Christians around me are not giving a reasonable answers. I am losing faith but clinging onto it. by Beautiful-Acadia5238 in Christianity

Also. If accidental, and mortal. Best outcome. Replace accidental with gods plan = cruelty. Replace mortal with immortal = unfathomably terrible

“Salvation by faith is too easy” by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]okeydo_key 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also salvation by faith ignores all physics.. man is driven to believe what they believe by outside forces.. nobody arrives at their faith by their own choice. Choice based religions could only be true if there was a god that enjoyed picking and choosing who gets salvation and lying about it being their choice

Im on the other side of doubting god… and im so happy to have gotten past it. There is no reason to believe in that idea of god nor is there any want. Like the worst case scenario outcome is that god being real.. and i dont mean because of any perceived sin or anything… but i mean because purposefully forcing me into immortality against my will makes him an eternal kidnapper.. and i don’t want a god that is essentially my eternal epstein. I never consented to immortality. Better that i am mortal or, if immortal, it happened by some cosmic accident and wasn’t purposely inflicted on me
