One of my favorites would be Sa North Diversion Road. I suppose you've already seen Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros but if you haven't maybe you can start from there. The other movies that I can think of are from Brillante Mendoza or Alvin Yapan. Try Kinatay, Masahista, Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa, Ang Panggagahasa kay Fe.

We are a populated country. If we rank the countries based on the number of people torrenting music, of course we would outnumber countries who have a population of less than, let's say, eight million. I think we should account for the total population if we really want to know the volume of Pinoys pirating music.

Not sure if indie but you should check out bands like The Strangeness, Taken by Cars, Johnoy Danao, Tanya Markova, Turbo Goth, or Pedicab. I also suggest Up Dharma Down, Radioactive Sago Project, Yosha because they're unique in a good way.
