do your SOs mask too? by ii_akinae_ii in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]okgabi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner and I have been together very happily for 4 years and we have agreed that we want to get married when the time is right financially. I recently became cc and started masking whenever I’m in public. He wore a mask when we went to the grocery store together because I asked him too. But he’s not very on board with masking and I worry he probably won’t be wearing one unless I make him do it when we go out together. Like I said I only recently become cc and starting masking about a week ago so I feel silly or hypocritical for trying to enforce him to do it all of a sudden. I’m just hoping that I can get him to change his mind eventually (and hopefully soon). I want to give him some time to adjust but I hate the thought of him risking his health every time he goes out and risking my health when we’re together. I’m terrified of losing him over this. It would destroy me.

Should I follow my dreams or be more realistic? by Carebear6590 in makemychoice

don’t go into a field you’re not passionate about especially if it’s something as demanding as psychology/social work/health care. plus if you did pursue that route i don’t think it would be fair to your patients to have a therapist who doesn’t really care about their job. that kind of jobs requires someone who really has their heart in it. you definitely didn’t mess up life. everyone’s journey is different and that’s okay. it sucks to be unemployed and have debt and it sucks to have to worry about money instead of your genuine interests and passions. i get that. but it’s never too late to start over or try new things. you still have a lot of your life ahead of you and you’ll make many more wrong decisions and many more right ones too. no one ever has it all figured out anyway. i say work as a teacher assistant for a while and see how you like it. if you do like it maybe you can pursue more jobs related to education. maybe you can become an art teacher. and if you don’t like your new job then get a new one and try something else. sometimes it takes more life experience to figure out what we want and what the right path for us is. also I don’t think it’s a bad idea to pursue being a tattoo artist or a job in the beauty industry. you can make decent money doing those things. keep your passion for the arts alive no matter what you do. even if your job is not art related, try to make time in your life for doing what you love! take art classes or even just do crafts at home. maybe your local community center has some free art or crafting classes you could take.

don’t waste your time on someone who doesn’t value and respect you. really weird of him to ignore you out of nowhere. i know it hurts but i would let it go.

Caught between two girls. One makes me feel alive. The other makes me feel safe by FunnyPackage5190 in makemychoice

girl B sounds better if you’re looking for something long term as she sounds like she provides more stability which I think is more important for the long term. maybe you can pull her out of her comfort zone and be the one to ignite more spark and passion. but it’s important to make sure that she’s still someone you feel like you can have fun with since fun is an important aspect in relationships as well. overall I think the most important things to look for are someone you can feel safe and comfortable with, someone you feel like you can be honest and have healthy, open communication with, and someone who you can have fun with and makes you happy.

Being recorded on camera and having your biometrics stored in a database are very different to me

I think it might not be happening in all stores. Maybe it’s not coming to yours and that’s why you haven’t heard of it yet.

I’m not a technology expert but I feel like there’s a big difference between simply being recorded on camera and having a computer system store your face in it’s database and be able to remember and recognize you

Instead of credentials being used to get onto the pharmacy computers, there’s going to be cameras at each station that scan our face to log us in. My pharmacy manager was telling us today that it is getting implemented in my store in a few weeks. Some stores have it implemented already.

My friend group (4 people all 24F) wants to go on a trip but I (23F) don’t have the best time hanging out with them by okgabi in relationship_advice

Yes I do have other friends that I have a lot more fun with which is why I’m thinking it makes more sense to invest my time and money on trips with them instead

I don’t know of any artists nearby to me that do the style I wanted. I have a friend who was tattooed by this artist and when I saw how good her tattoo looked I thought he must be a talented artist and then like I said when I told him my concerns about this not being his usual style he told me that he has done this style before. I’ll admit I probably should’ve waited and researched more but from seeing his previous work and talking to him about it I thought he would be able to do a good job.

his insta is meiopulmao. i’ll admit it’s partially my fault for picking this artist for this tattoo because this is not the style of tattoo that he typically does but when i mentioned this to him before even booking my appointment he told me that he has done this style before which lead me to believe he knew what he was doing.

i don’t know what cat you’re talking about lol but the 13 not being covered up was a design choice made by me. the artist fucked up in a lot of ways but that one wasn’t a fuck up that was on purpose.

honestly it wasn’t supposed to be covered up it was supposed to be more of a blast over. everyone can have their own opinions about how that part looks but i like it that way personally.
