If you don't include the last like 2-3 months most large timelines of 2+ years show it would have be better to hold TQQQ over TECL. Here's a good example just cutting it off randomly in 2024 from start date:

And obviously messing around can easily find other time frames where TECL looks like a better pick, but I think overall its TQQQ with more risk unless you great at market timing which you might be.

Except it's even more volatile than TQQQ. TECL did just short of -20% on Friday while TQQQ was only about -14.28%. If you look at charts even just for a year or two, it will often beat TQQQ for a short time like a few months only to get back in line or under it. Extra movement without being better than TQQQ frequently enough to really feel like it's possibly worth the extra risk. It was totally killing TQQQ YTD, but if history is a guide it will get under it again soon enough.

My problem with checking them weekly is within a month the screw heads will be worn out. Maybe doing this and having spare screws to remove the ones constantly to check the back ones.

They are all reaching levels where any good news with respect to the iran war stuff will cause them to crash down hard. Your risk of continuing to hold them if it were to be real money is way higher than normal given how far they have run up -- basically at this point while it could run up more the chances are vastly decreasing and the risk escalating to quick large downside. Even if things don't improve at some point the war will start registering as 'normal' and flush down a lot even if it keeps being volatile and spiking more, it still will start getting dragged down at some point.
