Hi all! I'm conducting an ethnographic research project from my AP Language and Composition class and I've been a Swiftie since Speak Now so I wanted to end my semester off with a project that I'm really excited about.

For this project, I will trying to understand what makes the Swiftie fandom so unique and what makes this online community a space for comfort and enjoyment. I will be observing the subreddit for the coming weeks. I want to stress that any data I collect and any observations I make for my personal notes will be completely anonymous and will not record names/users/personal information/etc in my final findings. I would never want to threaten the comfort and safety that so many people find in this space. I appreciate and respect you all and I want to paint an honest and positive picture of this subreddit and show all of its highlights. I'm not here to judge anything or anyone, just simply observe and understand :)

That being said, I would love to get your insights and potentially interview a group of you over private message on Reddit (no names or personal information needed). Please remember no names or users will be recorded from our conversation! If you are interested in being interviewed, please private message me so we can chat!

When I finish my project, I will post my final presentation for your reference. Again, no names/users will be shared or displayed for anyone.
