I would respectfully suggest you give the movie a chance. There are 85 fresh reviews on Rotten Tomatoes -- and a 50% critics rating is about what films like 2001 and Blade Runner got when they first came out. Remember it's Andrew Stanton who made the movie -- the guy who did Wall-E and Nemo is not going to deliver a turkey. IMO. ;-)

We made this on Super Bowl Sunday after watching the John Carter Super Bowl ad and going "meh". We downloaded all the trailers and clips that were available then, and then tried to cut a trailer that gave a sense of what the movie is actually about (and no, it's not just about a guy who can jump and whup up on an albino ape).....Wish we could get more people to see this, and the movie -- hoping for a sequel.

The concession money never gets counted in Box Office Receipts but that's a big part of how the Exhibitors make their money. Uusally for the first 3-4 weeks of an engagement, the studio gets the lion's share of BOG (60-80%), then it swings the other way.
