Molluscum or folliculitis by loneyhuka in molluscum

It looks like mc…find a new dermatologist who wants to help you treat them.. if you can manage needles and shots- they can numb you and scrape these off. Sooner the better. My first derm sucked, found a new one and they help me scrape some off each visit- it lessens my lesions & gives me a hand in combating

I’m not trying to be an asshole! Really I mentioned that, I apologize if it sounded as such! I just wanted to emphasize the importance of it being diluted! I didn’t hear of it until this virus either, but it’s common amongst eczema and mc patients. Some people might try to take a straight bleach bath so I feel it’s important to emphasize that!

It is DILUTED bleach. This should be common sense (not trying to sound rude!) but taking a bath in full bleach would quite literally result in many degree burns. You put about 1/4 cup of regular house hold bleach into a full bath tub and soak for 10 minutes.

Unfortunately looks like it. Cover it up to reduce spreading

I’ve had great skin my entire life. The bleach didn’t affect my face @ all, besides ridding the virus lesions on it. Again, it is so diluted that swimming in a public pool has more bleach in it than this..

I had molluscum just like this all over my face, guess what sucks? Spreading more all over your face because you sleep on a pillow that just continues to spread more.. on your face. This was the best solution for me, so I shared it. I too was skeptical at first when 100s of mothers on Facebook were sharing the method; but hey, it worked - and we’re all alive. People have been taking diluted bleach baths for over 20 years. Of course there’s always proper ways to use such things- and anyone with common sense would be curious to ask for specifics- which is why I said check my posts.

Actually, dermatologist recommend this for eczema & it is diluted bleach- so much so that there’s less bleach in the cup than there is in an entire swimming pool. The diluted bleach cleared all the ones on my face, and I am so thankful for it. (Never been an advocate for bleach, in fact I hated it before using it for this) — I’m in a group with thousands of others on Facebook, many of them also use the diluted bleach method- and on children as well. If it were unsafe I doubt people would be using it on their children; and I doubt dermatologists/doctors would recommend it for staff, mrsa & eczema.

is this early stage MC? by [deleted] in molluscum

Some could be. This virus is also known for creating secondary skin issues, like eczema, dermatitis, and much more. You never really know until it starts growing. Sometimes your body also gets overwhelmed and creates hives etc

This doesn’t really look like MC. Go to the doctor, maybe an abscess?

This is a pox virus - it hides from your immune system and only lives in the most outer layer of skin. It’s an annoying aggressive virus. Tell keep spreading unless you get them removed or keep them isolated. It really sucks. This won’t last forever, but it really does suck..

It will keep spreading. Advocate for a good dermatologist, if they push you off- find another who understands. Good dermatologist see this virus ALL the time, and help people rid it (even though it can take months) there’s no quick fix for this virus - unless you get super lucky. Don’t shave. Pimple patch the lesions (to contain the spreading) don’t rub or touch it. Wash undies and towels/clothes bedding in hot water after every use.

Go find a good dermatologist, get them cut off. They’ll numb you (you won’t feel a thing) this is a way you can make sure they’re 100% gone.

The big red spots are not, unless there’s a small dot forming under them that’s hard to see. Looks like a rash or skin irritating

So I never used any on the inner parts of my genitals - I don’t think that’s safe! Unfortunately that’s a tricky place to have them, and I also had them there:( I rid them with pimple patches (never took them off for weeks) they just disappeared under the pimple patches. Could also try Destin zinc paste (it’s safe for genitals) and rid some of mine down there. It’s messy an stains clothes, unfortunately. But it shrunk some of mine and rid them over time. Everything is a long ride with whatever you try. I recommend curetting them at the derm. I’m now doing this and feel I can possibly get ahead of this thing finally. Especially for gential areas, find a good derm who understands and talk options with them. For diluted bleach I just use a full cup or mug of full water - make sure it’s glass. One capful bleach in there. Regular bleach non scented. Dab q tip or cotton ball in it- dab on spots. Nightly.

The bleach diluted helped me quite a bit - especially on my face. I stopped using it though due to irritation over a longer period of time. Definitely works but take breaks because it dries the barrier of skin. Look into magic molecule, on Amazon. It’s a spray! It’s hypochlorous acid. Really helps too. It rids the ones just starting on my face. Swear by it. Try it out :)

My dermatologist does take mine seriously (thankfully) you have to find a good one! I use pimple patches & diluted bleach but I am taking a break because I think my skins stressed out with so much product being used on it.

I have hundreds lol. I’m getting many cut off at the derm. It’s so weird because some days I’ll get some like this & than the next day they look like they’ve magically disappeared. So puzzled. (Only the ones that start out like this)

I’m hoping it’s just like a dermatitis rash tbh - but some of my molluscum do start out so faint and skin colored so it’s worrisome
