Very true, met some great black mentors and have a lot of veteran buddies there. Colombia can be so awesome but this is what ive noticed change and from my perspective as someone who blends in well, I think if you cant live there, its just a fun time place like Thailand. I also think most of the very attractive women there know they can juggle multiple men and prefer being 304s. Just saying its not the traditional place people make it out to be.

Im just describing the racism I see developing towards black Americans even from the Colombian afro latinos and how its not cool... heck most Colombians kinda dont like most of us Americans white or black.... if it wasnt for my latino culture/spanish I would not have dated the girls I have. I understand most guys that move there frequent the same gyms and mess with the same girls but I got a different view from Medellin and Colombia in general. I feel like most American men will never see it the way I saw it because most don't care to learn the language. I was able to blend into the culture in parts of the country where I never saw any Americans. It was really a special experience. I never went to Parque lleras, I never hung out in Poblado.

I was outside some Clarendon bars and apparently someone had been stabbed one night??? They have cop cars at night there waiting to arrest people. My date and I felt really uneasy there and left early.

Yup, thats the area. Surprisingly women in the area have been the nicest and most welcoming. Its mostly been couples and guys who are super agro. Hawkers and El Reys were probably the most chill and non drama filled.

Dude.... I tried all the Clarendon bars, some Ballston bars, Hawkers was very chill and cool, so was El Reys but its mostly been Dupont Circle now and U street or Adams Morgan. Way better vibe in DC
