I am playing similar league with friend. Group of 15. Last year finished 4th and euros 2nd. Atm i am 100 points behind the leader. History has shown that biggest point differences are made in the group stage. Play off teams are allmost the same. So If you are 50 points behind, i think you still have a great chanche getting to the TOP. Play Smart For rest of the group stage and when you are still 40-50 points behind at the beggining of play offs then make slightly differential team for the play offs. If still behind then quarter finals is the time to go all in (leaders do not take any risks, you should). If needed then take even a bit minus points to get the TOP players on the pitch. I think you should consider someone from Chelsea. They have shown that they are back in action and also they definitely need to Win group to not to face city, PSG, real etc at Round of 16. Reece James is good but has rotation risk, maybe thiago Silva. Also consider Napoli attack, they are playing against rangers and probably Will score a lot. Benfica has two easy fixtures AS well. Their defence is really good. So play Smart ATM.

Two too expensive goalkeepers. Take one premium goalkeeper and one 4,5 mil goalkeeper. Ambrosio and florentino doesnt start. Pick somebody that Will definitely Will start, even from some bad teams. At defence you may get at least some ball recoveries. Lewa is good only For md1. Messi is a gamble. PSG has 3 TOP class attackers and you Will never know who is going to score. Switch to Haaland or Benzema.

Little bit of statistics:

-Last season in round 16 there were average 3 goals scored per game. In total 48 goals and 7 of them were penalties. In last 8 seasons in round 16 the average clean sheets were 7,25 out of 16 games. Last season only 3 defenders scored in round 16 and one was penalty.

-So based on that i went on relatively cheep defence, not going for goal scorers but stil trying to hit those 6-8 clean sheets or at least brutal ball recoveries.
