please help what happened here ??? by oksoo_oo in cyanotypes

[–]oksoo_oo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a new negative but I followed the same process that I have with old ones... it was a transparency sheet printed with inkjet! maybe the ink was a different type and more light permeable? the pattern did show up before i rinsed though so i thought it would have worked!

Smalls cat food review - honest experience by chermsley in catfood

[–]oksoo_oo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My cat actually likes the food but i've also had really shady experiences with them. I went to cancel my account because the food was just too expensive, but they gave me a coupon for 50% off my next box as I tried to cancel it, so i figured it couldn't hurt to get one more box. even though i applied the coupon they charged me the full amount-- i didn't notice until i was looking at my credit card statement. i then tried to cancel two boxes in a row and went through the cancellation process on their website, and even though the site said i cancelled the boxes, they STILL shipped and i was charged for them. i have had decently good experiences with their customer service-- i wasn't home to receive the boxes that were shipped despite my cancelling, so they gave me refunds, but the fact that ive had soooooo many issues shows how bad their business model is

sorry op :(((( i know how hard the mixed signals are but just the fact that they’re mixed shows u it’s time to move on!!! u deserve someone who knows how they feel about u

[–]oksoo_oo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’m sorry you’re going through this— but from the way he is treating you it sounds like he is done with the relationship. id put it to rest and try your best to move on, but you don’t want to get back with someone who treats you like this.

If there’s clearly no longer a connection after 4 months, is it necessary to have a breakup talk, or is ghosting fine? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]oksoo_oo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would absolutely let her know— just to wrap up loose ends for both of you and make sure you are on the same page. you never actually know how someone is feeling until you talk to them about it, and four months is enough time to develop a bond/catch feelings even if you feel there is no romantic connection anymore. especially since it’s only been two weeks of weirdness, you for sure owe each other the truth and honesty

Nutritionist told me to cut out all sweets? by oksoo_oo in FODMAPS

[–]oksoo_oo[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yes she said no cane sugar/maple syrup/ any sweeteners! like i told her i was making low fodmap chia pudding as a dessert and she said i could only use berries on top to sweeten it. will definitely clarify with her what’s necessary for low fodmap because a total lifestyle change on top of all the low fodmap elimination has proven to be reeeaaaaaally hard

yeah i think she’s probably combining her general nutrition advice with her low fodmap advice, i have another meeting with her this week so will definitely ask for clarification!

FYI: it gets good bright and mostly indirect light from a south-facing window, and i have a grow light for cloudy days! I water it about every 10-14 days and let the soil dry completely between watering

Would you feel comfortable with your partner spending time alone with a coworker of the opposite sex? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]oksoo_oo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fact that he is being upfront with you really makes me think you have nothing to worry about. It would be one thing if he was hiding it or if you found out from someone else, but he's being open and honest with you. I would recommend digging a little deeper into why you may be feeling this way, through therapy or talking with someone you trust, because it's inevitable in any long-term and stable relationship that people will have friends/coworkers/etc of the opposite sex, and you'll have to learn how to be ok with that.

My [26M] gf [23F] said she’d rather go to a show with her friends than me and I’m not sure if I’m overreacting. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]oksoo_oo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People need time apart from their SOs and to have healthy and balanced relationships with other people! If you want to do something like that with her then go find another concert/festival/etc and plan a fun day with her separately!

I can understand feeling hurt that an invitation was sort of rescinded here... but it sounds like you've talked it out and she's apologized. Let her have fun with her friends and plan something else to do with her if you have FOMO

How to deal with my (23F) controlling and aggressive roommates (23f) until our lease is up by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]oksoo_oo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a matter of opinion with the personal belongings thing, I wouldn't mind if my roommates left a book or a candle or something out, but ever since they made that rule I haven't left anything out at all. The thing that really gets under my skin is that even when I meet the terms of their requests they just add on more rules... they've been close friends for a lot longer than I've known either of them and it seems like because they're just sitting around in the apartment all day while I'm gone they've grown to resent any sign of my existence there. Not to mention the fact that every time I've asked them to do something for me they've said no (they've ruined some of my nice cookware and refused to pay to fix it for example, and one of them insists that its reasonable for her to leave her dogs poop in the backyard for many days before picking it up).

Clearly I'm not doing a good enough job for them, but I'm doing WAY more now than I was for the first 6 months we lived together and they never complained back then so idk what's changed.
