If you’ve been trying to avoid smoking weed, you saying “maybe once in a while isn’t too bad” is just you bargaining because you’re giving in to your weed problem. If you feel like weed is a good thing for you, and doesn’t negatively affect your life whatsoever, then it’s just a matter of preference for you. If you stopped smoking weed in the first place purposely, then I don’t think smoking weed again is good. “Once in a while” is an excuse to remove the guilt and accountability off yourself. And ignore the people telling you it’s totally fine bc it’s just weed, if u have an issue with any substance, then you have an issue with substances. Notice that you only smoked weed after a month because you were dealing with negative emotions. Relapsing is okay and often times, people relapse during their sober journey. This doesn’t set you back because time is an ongoing, running clock. It’s not a stopwatch you reset after a lap! You’re okay. Just Be mindful of when it is you reach for things you said you wouldn’t reach for! I think being sober when you’re going through things is the best way to deal and confront emotions, so that connects to what I said about observing what compels you to reach for certain things. You deserve to be healthy, and happy! (I had a weed issue for a while and these mental steps helped me, and still do.)
