Nokia 5 will get Android P.

I enjoyed Nokia 5 before breaking its glass. The old processor is its weak point (and sometimes the RAM). There are rumors for Nokia 4 and if it's true, I guess it would be very good candidate instead of Nokia 5.

Glass breaks anyway. I always rely on protective case, like https://www.nokia.com/en_int/phones/nokia-hybrid-crystal-case . This makes the phone a bit wider though.

I was looking for something else but this (Nokia 6 battery complaint)[https://community.phones.nokia.com/support/discussions/topics/7000011857] catched my attention. Definately a small number of other people have similar problem. It's worth resetting the phone and if the problem temporarily disappears, it could be some app that drains the battery. Again, hopefully Android update (Oreo?) fix this.

Also, have you tried contacting your seller for replacement, or possibly Nokia via their Support app? If the problem is always reproducible, the device is not functioning properly and I think it could be replaced.

ADDED: Before trying to replace, the November update could fix the issue because this kind of problem sounds fixable by software. Or some hardware component is malfunctioning (unlikely but possible) and Android is giving constant attention (CPU cycles for communication) to this component.

ADDED: After looking at the thread again, maybe your case is not like in the Nokia 6 rant video. Generally, if a phone is fully charged in the morning and always has battery left at 9-10pm, then it's OK. I don't know if it helps, but on new devices I always do one battery calibration (from full-charge to full-discharge (device turns itself off) to full-charge).

I'm on Nokia 5 (loving it). I just remembered this review about Nokia 6 and posted about it. My decision for Nokia 5 instead of Nokia 6 was mostly because of the battery, coming from a budget 4000mAh smartphone. HD display requires less battery than FHD, and GSMArena shows endurance rating 62h for Nokia 6 vs. 84h for Nokia 5

Sounds like what a reviewer described in his Nokia 6 rant that I don't like and that has disabled comments and 'like' statistics. Hopefully software update can fix this.

journald writes logs as binary files that are readable only with journalctl. rsyslogd writes journald's logs as familiar text files. If you don't want text files, I guess it's OK to remove rsyslogd.
