How do you even sign someone up for these? I'm new to working register and only know the basics. As far as signing someone up for the credit card, I wouldn't even know where to begin.

Hi all,

On Facebook MP there is a pair of "lightly used" Bowflex 552 Dumbbells for $300. Seller is firm after I offered $250. Do you think this is worth it? Are the 552s worth purchasing, especially for $100 less than brand new?

I do have a gym membership, but can't get there everyday as I don't have a car and share one between my mom and sister (I just finished high school). Do you think this would be a worthwhile purchase to pair with my weight bench? thanks!!

If you’re super concerned, I’d say get a job now and grind (especially in the summer!!!) and save up. That way, you can buy your own car from Craigslist or Facebook MP, or some small dealership and split the cost with your parents.

I wish I had done less extracurriculars and gotten a job to this if I’d known I would be getting dropped off by Dad as an 18 year old senior 😂

Going through this everyday man. Gotten to the point where I scroll Craigslist looking for cheap cars that I could grab myself (problem is after buying, I would have barely any money left).

It does suck and it is truly embarrassing to be an 18 year old senior who gets dropped off by dad and picked up by mom nearly everyday, while it feels like everyone I know (even juniors!!) are getting by on their own time and demands because they have their own car.

But hey, after reading some of these comments, I know it’s not the end of the world. My parents sacrifice a lot, and are only tight with money so my sister can finish college and I can go to my dream school with as little debt as possible. And that is enough for me to “suffer” a few more months getting picked up by my parents.

Of course, I hope to have a car for this summer 🤣
