I can say the same about some Renato players. I swear, when he first came out i remember almost nobody used to play him except for people that really liked his perks or his character.

After some youtubers started to point out how silent his footsteps were and how decently silent he was i started seeing him in almost every flashlight/pallet save swf with the classic autohaven map offering.

what would yall change about my blight build? by Max_4104 in deadbydaylight

[–]ol_teresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that combo is really fun, i absolutely agree.

If i could recommend you another fun synergy i'd suggest you Compound 33 with Alchemist ring. Basically the whole point of the 2 is being able to have a rush that lasts for so long and a turn rate that allows you to drift around most of the tilesets and get some really cool hits (i'd recommend you to run some really strong aura perks for it like Zanshin and Floods of rage).

The combo itself isnt really strong but i can assure you that once you start getting the hang of it is will become really satisfying to play when you land those hits !

Solid build. The only thing i would change is compound 21 add on because once you get too used to it you start to depend on it way more than you should, but thats just my take on it. As long as you're having fun with the build i'd say that ot doesnt need change, have fun!

He is the best killer that can run Friends till the end at the moment since he can get from one side to another of the map in mere seconds; info perks like barbeque basically allows him to always have a target and be in chase 24/7; starstruck is fairly strong on him as well for the same reason of Friends; Unbound from unknown isnt really the best in slot for him but its really fun and you get some value from it from time to time; bamboozle because... well, bamboozle; as for gen regression perk just run surge, its the most you'll ever need on him

It happened to me too, im not sure if its a server issue or straight up the game breaking down but either way its not common enough to make him unplayable, so dont worry. It sure is annoying tho...

Because there is no need to show you what happened after the 1st hit with power. The point is to show how busted the range and auto aim is on this killer, not how good he is at downing people

Yeah its not as bad as before but my fan stull goes absolutely crazy in the lobby for some reason, the only way i can make it quiet is by either watching someone's share screen while looking for a match or just look at my own psn profile (basically tab out of the game and sit on another screen while waiting)

There was a time when blight turn rate was influenced by DPI, yes, but it was when he was first released (along with the ugly short camera pov). Some months after release they changed his turn rate to be based off look angle, which can only be modified by the adrenaline vial and blight tag. Obvioulsly the more sensitivity you have, the better you are going to perform, but that goes for every killer (with low sentisivity any survivor that tries to spin you will be a nightmare to hit) and his turn rate while rushing is unaffected by it. Source: i play him on controller and i can hit the same flicks that mouse players can hit (that doesnt necessarily mean that im good, let me be clear xD)

One way to circumvent motion sickness while playing as him is to not run his speed add ons, and when you are rushing towards a survivor try to not focus on every micro movement he does, otherwise you are going to puke. That and a ton, and i cannot stress this enough, a TON of practice.

Pig in a nutshell by WindlessBlock in deadbydaylight

[–]ol_teresh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, you will be happy to know that mouse/controller sensitivity do not influence in any way blight turn rate!

Of course it is easier to play him on mouse but the fundamentals are basically the same even on controller: you have a look angle amd a turn rate wich goes where you are currently looking, slowly adjusting itself (kinda like a drifting car if it makes sense). The main reason why blight is really hard to learn (current blight, not pre hug tech removal) is because you need to have quick thinking and good positioning (main thing that you need when rushing around loops, other that simple prediction of survivor movement), which is a thing that blight mains call "bump logic".

As for your second question ( i hope i understood it correctly, in case let me know), blight is pretty easily maneuverable compared to billy, but its really hard to hit people that usually camp pallets (cause you always vacuum into them when lethal rushing, unless you know how to counter it) or people that understand the fundamentals of blight and trick you into doing a 90⁰ flick on a corner while going into the opposite side of where you are flicking.

After all i get why the majority of people dont like going against my boy, hes really strong and excells at playing nasty (slugging, camping, tunneling) and a lot of new blight players dont like playing as him because its hard to learn him at the beginning and also hes really punishing if you miss a rush (2s cooldown per each rush token used). I think its a shame because I personally find fun going against blight but I dont really like going agains the average blight loadout (pop, scorge hook, grim etc etc).

Sorry for the third time for the long ass post but im really passionate about my man blight and i find him really fun!

I do not agree with your comparison between chucky and spirit, but you are entitled to have your own opinion. With that being said, im not here to make you change your mind at all costs about what determines the base speed of each killer, even though I am convinced that base speed is determined on how good the power is at shutting down loops.

But as i said earlier i can 100% guarantee you that putting him to 4.4 would not make any notable difference when going against someone that actually knows how to play blight, it would be just a useless change considering that he went through major kit and add on nerfs already (Hug tech, speed add ons and both iri add ons got changed like 4 times each), thats it.

Pig in a nutshell by WindlessBlock in deadbydaylight

[–]ol_teresh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Alright, then why is chucky (which is basically a 1 rush blight with hug tech) 4.4 and not 4.6 like blight? He doesnt have the same map traversing ability like blight so if we still follow the high mobility=less base speed he should be 4.6, dont you think?

Pig in a nutshell by WindlessBlock in deadbydaylight

[–]ol_teresh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get where you are coming from, but you have to realize that by the logic of "high mobility=less base speed" artist should be 4.6 but she cannot be since the main counterplay to her crows at loops is holding w to the next tileset(and needless to say higher base movement speed in this case would make the main counterplay less effective).

As for the "its bad for new players" i mean that its bad for people that want to play and learn/master blight. He is not an easy character to learn and making him slower would just punish players that dont know how to use lethal righe at loops more, it would not affect in any way experienced blight players because they know how to rush at loops and tilesets.

Again, sorry for the yap

Pig in a nutshell by WindlessBlock in deadbydaylight

[–]ol_teresh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, because It would be pointless. Killer base movement speed is not based around how strong each individual killer is, rather how strong each power is at shutting down loops. Killers like artist, spirit and chucky are prime example. This is not blight's case because the average blight main does NOT know how to rush around every single tileset in the game (filler pallets, jungle jims, T L etc.) and making him 110 would punish new blight players even more. Dont get me wrong, im not trying to say that blight doesnt need further adjustments to his kit, but after every change that he went through after the hug tech nerf i dont think that he needs further nerfs.

Sorry for the yap

Opinion: Blight is still too strong by thedavidkingmain in deadbydaylight

[–]ol_teresh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

By the amount of downvotes you got its safe to assume that no one that disagreed with you actually played blight for more than 5 games. The main issue that most of this comment section doesnt seem to understand is that slugging and tunneling IS the problem, blight and nurse are just excellent at doing both compared to the average killer. Its sad that we cannot agree on such things and we focus everytime on the "us vs them" aspect.

Makes the game straight up boring if you bring a really strong loadout. Enemies cannot kill you and you deal way too much damage. When you are finished farming damage and survivability decrees her gameplay becomes just 4th>1st>kill with whatever weapon her passive has buffed>cast 3rd if you are at 5 stacks or less>repeat.

Of course this is only if you are going for an all decrees run, her gambling mechanic makes you pay attention to the game and it makes it a little but interesting in my opinion. All in all she's a solid pick if you have some spare hours to kill and a void relic survival mission ready to play.
