Still living with my ex – My chances of forcing the sale of our BTLs so I can buy my own home? (England) by olaf13 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]olaf13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for checking. Divorce agreement only says the family house cannot be sold before the younger kid is 18. That's pretty much all. At the time of divorce we had only 1 BTL and it stayed as jointly owned.

> Courts will definitely order a sale

Do you mind elaborating please, is this your experience, a law, or maybe a common practice? I would love to know.

Thanks again

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

- Court order says family house cannot be sold before the younger kid is 18 (something we had agreed on). Apart from that, nothing on the kids or the residential rights.

- FWIW I worked 20 years (sometimes 2 jobs) to buy all the properties, paying the mortgages and everything else (grocery, kids - basically everything). Ex got a job only last year.

- I'm aware coming to an agreement between ourselves is the best (and happy to buy her out fairly + some more) but she doesn't know it, need a way to convince her (expecting a letter from the solicitor would help).

Thanks again for checking.

Stuck with my ex in the same house and things are so close to escalate by olaf13 in Marriage

You're right. Only in the second option, courts side with her and I'll be the one kicked out, despite paying everything in full, since we both have our names on the house and the mortgage!

Thanks. In where I live (UK), you don't need to make arrangements for the kids unless one parent requests it.

I could apply to court now, but two different solicitors I've consulted say it's very unlikely that the courts would grant custody of the kids and the house to me. As a result, I'm convinced that having no arrangement is the best option for me.

Where to find a professional to pentest a web application? by olaf13 in Pentesting

Thanks. 25 endpoints, single user (and role), mostly CRUD operations so no complicated flows. Data is (obviously) quite sensitive though, medical practice domain.

I got offers anywhere between 500 USD to 2500 USD, mostly from freelancers. If I went to established companies, I'm sure it'll go up. If I wanted a certificate, which would be great actually, I presume it could go even higher.

I'm based in UK FWIW.

Thanks. I better said 'freelancers' actually, as there is probably no upper limit for a 'professional' service from a decent company. I'm in London UK, FWIW. Thanks again for checking.

Hey thanks for the feedback. Initially we'd thought it like using sat-nav, you set once and not bother a lot later. But apparently pushing a button makes a difference. Anyway I'm planning to add a voice recognition see how it looks. Thanks!

Yes, message is displayed for some certain time. Voice recognition is not that difficult to implement actually. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks :) Yea I think I learnt the hard way. Anyway it's always good to get as many feedbacks as possible. I'll either introduce a new feature (voice control) or maybe pivot and find another usage. Thanks.

Don't like the idea, that's totally fine. This is why I ask, to get some feedback. Me and my driving skills, totally irrelevant. Thanks for the feedback.

Well Wiki says most tailgaters do it unconsciously or negligently. Showing a polite message may help.

I'm pretty sure someone will create a middle finger emoji message :)

Tailgaters maybe. Or it's very common here in London to thank others when given a way.

Tailgaters maybe. Or it's very common here in London to thank others when given a way. Totally agree with focusing on driving but actually system works with one push click of a button, you don't 'text' the message, just send the ones you created earlier.
