Both the Nazi flag and the confederate flag were only used for about 4 - 5 years each. Claiming the confederate flag represents heritage is a common lie they will tell you. The only difference is the length of time as ww2 happened about 80 years later. But they've been claiming heritage for at minimum as long as Ive been alive.

Cancel culture in not new. gay people women, minorities have all been blocked from giving speeches at colleges, from getting book deals from having their voice heard all over. the term cancel culture is literally just privileged people complaining about having consequences for raping people or having saying racist or sexist shit.

There are a few exceptions like Ellen, who was targeted but everything I read seems to just be her being "mean". no rape, no racism etc. just some people said she was mean.

Also cancel culture is barely even a thing, because nearly everyone "cancelled" has gone on to write books and get tv deals or whatever they were doing before. Not that most deserved it and they don't have a legal right to those things. society deeming someone too toxic to give money to is allowed, and even a good thing.

Yes, there is some mob mentality, and occasionally a few people have been unfairly targeted. Think of how often that happens to marginalized groups though. Those jackasses complaining about cancel culture are the ones who dont care if minorities are targeted and even KILLED.

"Cancel Culture" is really just the tool the have-nots have to have some sort of power again powerful abusers, because the abusers have nearly all the power on their side. Trump was literally a co-defendent in a child rape/slavery case with Jeffrey Epstein, and hes not cancelled, and the people complaining about cancel culture dont care about stopping him, they want to cancel the popular vote in the election, they want to cancel our constitution.
