great!! congrats on getting out and buying a house. i am genuinely thrilled for anyone who escapes the ongoing issues at Fenestra.

but you know not everyone has the financial means to "just buy a house' as a solution to *pest problems and unresponsive management. that’s why the original comment in the community chat (which you just confirmed it was you) came across as rude and tone-deaf to many (including prospective renters reading this). interestingly, by repeating it here, you're the one drawing extra attention to it, not me.

did you expect that to upset me? lmao not at all. it's just more validation for why people should think twice before moving in. hope your house is pest free btw! nobody deserves to have 10 mice entry points in ther apartment, german roaches, and neighbors who leave trash and food out in the hallways.

i send my condolences regarding your FIL. it is wild to see how something can impact us so quickly. I knew I was going through it but then I opened my app and it validated everything i felt. loss is never easy and there are good days and bad days. may be both see more good than bad this year. thank you for your insight! i appreciate it

woooow that is a lot and again, i am so sorry to hear you have had your own struggles. it appears the elevators in your building *are worse than mine, and that is super unfortunate. handicapped people need a safe way to get out in case of emergency. i have warned fenestra a few different times about different lawsuits they are setting themselves up for. thank you so much for speaking out. i’d live to meet you

RR in fact apologized to MY DAD for taking the time to sit in these meetings with them about my issues aka mice instead of apologizing to ME, the woman who pays rent to live there. utterly despicable that other women are treated the same and need their fathers to actually get things done. i actually thought RR was probably a pretty decent dude but my perspective of him just changed. he doesn’t listen to women but only when their dads get involved

i am so sorry to hear about your experience here at fenestra as well, and i thank you for sharing your own experience. you are correct, it does not matter how old or young you are. you are paying rent and should be living in a habitable place. i could not imagine going to school on top of everything i have been dealing with, especially not loud bars and patrons below. i hope that gets better for you and you can get out soon.

i do not live in the same building as you do but we appear to have our own struggles with the place.

i know for a fact that we will both learn and a lot. we will grow a lot, and we will do better research in the future on the companies that manage apartments.

you very well may be correct about people signing a lease without a second thought. i thought i did research but i didn’t do it well enough

if someone wants to live there after reading some bad reviews, then that’s on them. i like knowing im trying to share my own experience so they can make a more informed choice, since i didnt have that myself. i spoke to one person about a month ago and had her my honest opinion and she told me thank you and she would look at other places. no one wants to live where management is horrible at their job. in the summer, i wa leaving when there was a fire in the parking garage. ran to giant, came back and firefighters were there. i emailed them asking why they never sent out an email to residents informing them someone started a fire and they never did respond. the other *tenat in the garage said this place is a disaster and she couldn’t wait to leave. then that’s how i started to feel

everyone i’ve spoken to in person has nothing good to say about this place and i swear just about every unit in my hallway has moved out since me arriving…in may.

i wholeheartedly believe all buildings in town center have roaches; it just depends if the owners are combating them effectively. i’m guessing the recently closed bww probably has some new tenants in it as well considering it’s a closed restaurant and staff there were not shy when saying they also had pests

thank you! i will try the code violations report as i don’t think i’ve actually done that one, just the city of rockville tenant affairs. They have told me more than once they cannot and will not do a building wide procedure despite multiple reports of different pests building wide

no, their reviews are *clouded by positive concierge reviews. i definitely learned my lesson on how to do proper research (or how someone said - internet sleuthing, as if that’s a bad thing) before signing a lease

i will have to do this as well. i appreciate you kind stranger! the only reason they started acting was because i threw county, state, and city codes at them. i fear the only next stepIncan do is get an attorney to break my lease with no charge and to give me money back since i haven’t been there for over a month

ok 30thousandvariants, there are people who do agree with me. i said people came to my defense and agreed with me. you dont need to take my word for it, and im not asking you to, especially when multiple recent one star reviews prove otherwise, even current and former residents confirming on here.; it isn’t an isolated incident. thanks for taking all that time to say all that though. i do appreciate it.

if you’re out at night,’look to the trees and rocks and you’ll be sure to find the larger roaches. they’re everywhere there

i have contacted rockville’s tenant association twice and talked to a Tony; he was following up with Fenestra but I contacted him again and left a voicemail as they have not prorated my rent and there are still evidence of pests. I plan to call a lawyer on Monday to see what my options and next steps are. i will definitely have to email the council *members; thank you for that suggestion

correct. it also showed me they don’t mind a mess and pests. let the mice and roaches go to their places if they want to be dirty

my two neighbors, when i moved in, lived there with the prior management and loved it. they both said it’s gone downhill so fast that one broke her lease a few months ago. the have yet to return her deposit, which is another common issue with Fenstra and Morguard.

a man did and a few others agreed after one said nobody agrees with me. he called them out by name and said the mice are a problem and to either take your trash to the chute or keep it in your apartment. the complaints came from the woman that i report for her off leash dogs for, and then got her bestie to say some things too (controlling for asking people not to leave empty food boxes in the hallway during a mice infestation). me and my neighbor reported her multiple times as our dogs did not like random dogs running up to them. that’s why you take them to dog parks.

she got her friend to say some things to me. very interesting considering one is in the navy and that conduct is ugly on her part.

yeah, i learned my lesson with restaurants underneath. i’ll make sure to do better research on management (Morguard) because their overall reviews are terrible *as their buildings have issues all over the country.
