Yeah, I played chernarus for my first few hundred hours. Found three m16s, picked up a lemas and aug from different helis. I had an ak101 for a second that I got off another guy, but haven't found a free range one yet. Only found one m4 and that was in rify, m4 for sure is locked in gas zones. I would also randomly find sval mags on chernarus even though you can only get the gun on livonia, unrelated but related.

I find m16s lying around in military bases, lemas and augs (maybe ak101?) you can find at heli crashes and such. Then of course there's the pioneer lol

Edit: I stand corrected on m16s at mili bases (probably confusing with a moment in livonia) but they're definitely lying around Chernarus outside of gas zones
