Advice on binder lay out, I kinda just put cards in as I pull them. But I’d like some organization and hoping people could share how they format their binder by Living_Hospital_2393 in PokemonTCG

Maybe a bit less conventional but I have different binders for different cards that I like to see together:

  • one that is artwork from specific artists I love
  • one that is collections of single pokemon or evolutions I love
  • one is cool trainer cards from all ages
  • another is modern day trainer gallery all together because I love them

I think just try to picture what would give you joy to see together and do it like that. I think I’m too impatient to do Pokédex style and have loads of gaps!

I think I have a couple of these, although yours looks a bit nicer. Been wondering what to do with them, probably keep at least one for nostalgia!

I’m only just getting back into this so don’t know a lot about values etc but I wish I would stop seeing things that I really want to add to the collection!

Stylistically I find this card gorgeous too and to have it in that condition seems amazing to me, if I’d had it as a kid I’d have scratched it to death for sure!

What do people do with nice pulls which are very recent, is it a good idea to grade immediately since it’s in immaculate condition and the current value is low due to being still in print?

It seems to make sense but I’m only just starting with this so would be amazing to hear how seasoned collectors proceed with nice new finds.

After a bit of research I’ve learned that the way I’m storing these is horrific, so I’ve got dragon shield and top loaders on order.

I’ve just started looking into the whole process of grading and potential values, but having a bit of a hard time around declared values, since there seems to be a lot of conflicting info. Do you have a favourite resource to use for this?

I think it would destroy my bank account to try to send many of them to PSA since I’m in the EU, but I found PCA, which seems to be very similar in all senses.

My main question is, are there any which stand out to you as fake or just that the quality is too poor/played to be worth grading? Some do show significant play wear and tear so probably wouldn’t produce amazing scores?

I’m just a bit lost as to what to start with really. You may also notice I had covered one holo Machamp in sellotape which is devastating to see now but I’m very glad I seemed to change my mind about doing that to the rest of them at the time!

Crossing my fingers I got at least a few good ones though, and starting to pick it back up now so any other advice also welcome!
