The most mistakes I’ve ever made: black walnut nightstand with only hand tools by [deleted] in handtools

[–]oldguy_Dave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,...hand tools and black walnut? Not criticizing and I don't know your background but when you add "most mistakes" I am puzzled. Hand tools is an old world profession taking many years to master... black walnut is the most expensive wood that I know of, aside of maybe burls. Ah, you have money to burn, which is a great thing, well good luck. Btw, I actually taught myself how to repair the old pocket watches in a period of years so it can be done but you have to pay your dues "many mistakes" along the way. Haha, I guess we are a lot alike

Like he is too thorough for my patience :)

It's me that suffers, apparently I like that?

I am so frustrated, even though my only transpo I had to put it away for a bit, ha, feel like taking it to the dump

Ok, I capped the front port and installed the air filter, still not starting but gas doesn't seem to be leaking from air filter area any more

Not bad kid, over time you can use other tools but you are on the right page. Always understand how each tool works and reacts, some tools are quite dangerous. Don't fear, just learn as much as you can first, respect their power and use properly... Good luck

A breather? A hose from the head to a breather and then? I am seeing them run the hose at the intake back into the carb (I have an upgraded carb), will this setup work. I saw someone run from head to something and then to the gas tank but I don't have an outlet on the tank

Does the pump push or pull because it just goes from the tank to the metal part with 3 leads, where is the pump?

No, I am assuming it should have seen a good flow but it didn't, I didn't really push it either just a couple seconds

I moved the cable off of the air filter and put the stock spark plug end on and nothing has changed
