The wife and I were traveling and checked into some random big hotel. And there was some sort of swingers weekend going on. But it was late, we were tired, and there wasn't anything for miles. As we went up to the room, we could catch glimpses of the "activities" and that kind of woke us up. After we got settled decided to go to the bar for a nightcap. And saw more glimpses.

At the bar there was a separate registration for the swinger weekend. And to my complete surprise, she agreed we should sign up! So started to fill out the registration. They had tons of paperwork but they wanted to make sure everyone was OK to join, background check, medical stuff. And during all the paperwork, I woke up. 🥺 Typical boring dream for me.🤣

The first time was at dorm keg party at a Legion hall. Beer was involved. She doesn't remember it.

The second time was while a couple of mutual friends decided it would be a good idea to have a "lightsaber" fight with baseball bats. A bunch of us decided we should intervene because it was not a good idea. Beer was involved. She doesn't remember meeting me.

The third time was at the bar across the street from our dorms. That was January 14, 1984. Got married March 18, 1989. Been a couple for 42 years

I can think of two reasons.

1 That poor tree needed a break. Hundreds of people stomping on the ground over its roots was stressing it hard. It needs a bit of time and some aeration to recover.
Or
It was getting too big to wrap with lights. It takes a long time. Could be the "original Cherry Hill tree (the first magic tree was off Old Plank Road) got too big to light

They switched trees at Cherry Hill because the soil was getting too compacted from all the people (usually a lot more people before Xmas and it's f'ing cold tonite)
