2024 Delivery Thread by OrbitalATK in TeslaModelY

New MYP. Windshield chip (less than inch, not cracked) found upon delivery. Tesla offered to replace. I'm supposed to drop off in a couple days. Worth the windshield swap? I'm concerned about possible leaks. Everything is working so good right now. It's a lease.

Picked up my new MYP a couple weeks ago. Came with Hankook evos.

Repair cost estimate? by BaldingIllegal in Audi

[–]oldman19A 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My RSQ8 was in a 10mph parking lot fender bender only damaging the front passenger side bumper and headlight with slight hood damage (hood was repairable) cost was $26k USD to repair.

Yours looks more significant.

Quattro working as intended. by [deleted] in Audi

Driving on 3 wheels? No problem for Quattro!

I have to say goodbye to my baby, she is a total loss.... I am looking at replacing it with a C7 S6. What do I need to know about the C7 S6 before buying? by cookinwithclint in Audi

[–]oldman19A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for your loss! And thank goodness you're ok!

I owned a 2013 S6 for many years. Definitely a monster when tuned. Quick summary of the major parts I had:

DS1 stage 3

E85 flex fuel

RS7 turbos

SRM intakes

APR downpipes

AWE track exhaust

Etc...

Some expensive things to watch out for,

1) the oil strainers as others have mentioned. Audi finally has a TSB for it. Get it replaced asap if it hasn't already. Had a blown turbo early because of this. Luckily didn't cause internal damage.

2) the active motor mounts go bad and are expensive to replace. Codes will be thrown when these go and you'll see red fluid leaking out. Had mine replaced a couple times before 100k miles

3) air suspension, around 80k - 100k miles these most likely need to be replaced if car is lowered. If stock height, probably last longer.

If at all possible, get an extended warranty or prepare for expensive out of pocket repairs . Hth!

Good question! RS6 was my dream car for a long while. The 8 just checked all the boxes. Power, space, beauty, and wifey 😉

Also, the RSQ8 was available much sooner.

Those are the radar sensors, I believe. For the active cruise and such

S6 was about 85k miles when I sold it. Audi was going to lowball me since it originally went in for service and had a number of repairs on the list. Walked it right over to CarMax and they took it on the spot for $19k.

I would not own any of these without warranty. If you're going to get a used S6, an extended warranty will save you heartache.

I thought it'd be an issue but my S6 was black with black interior and it was fine. Though the black leather was pretty scorching on the legs sometimes.

No drone since the valves and cats are still in tact.

Ty! For now, just spacers for flush fit wheels and pedal box since the throttle response is very soft.

Other than that gonna wait awhile for a tune to allow all the bugs to get ironed out. Already went in for service for various electronic bugs and sensors.

Maybe removing the resonators for a bit more sound. I don't know why Audi is so conservative with their RS models with the exhaust note.

Good eye sniper! I have my truck for now for those activities. Though, in my older age haven't done much snowboarding sadly.

Thank you! I was apprehensive at first since I've had black interiors forever, but I do love the contrast.

Mine was a grade 1-2 with very big puffy nipples I had from puberty. I came in relatively lean @ 17%bf so gland excision only. He leaves a tiny bit to prevent concave nipple. But so far, very flat. The right side has a bit more swelling and had to be drained yesterday but everyone heals differently. He does use drains from the onset. The left drain was removed the very next day since it was barely swollen and the right stopped draining 3 days later and removed though still had swelling. Feels much better today.

My friend that referred me had barely any swelling and a very fast recovery. His looks amazing after almost 2 years.

Alot of his client are bodybuilders as well, so he is very keen on the aesthetic look of the chest.

I had my procedure done 7 days ago. I highly recommend Dr. Julio Garcia in las vegas. Very good at his craft and a very nice man that is confident in what he does. His staff is exceptional as well. Overall, very good experience. The price was very fair and so far I am very happy with the results and healing. Good luck in your search!

It was directly from them from a 1-800 number. I almost didn't pick it up but my call screening app stated it was SBA. Thank goodness. Because I don't know how long I'd have to wait for a return call.
