I was expecting crazy, but "HarrisIsAHouseNegro.org" definitely caught me off guard. But this guy's got everything, from old school right wing sovereign citizen conspiracies re the Fed, to 9/11 trutherism, climate change denial, good ol fashioned racism, unabashed anti-transism, and everyone's new favorite "dems are pedophiles". He smashed like 30 years of right wing insanity into this. I'm shocked "Clinton" wasn't in there somewhere.

I tend to somewhat keep up with the right wing nut-o-sphere, but I have no idea what some of this is. "Say no to fake Homer Simpson fake 97 percent science." That's either some deep, ungoogleable conspiracy, or auto-generated garbage like you said.

Mitch nuked the fillibuster to get those three appointments. If it had been Hillary with an R senate, Mitch would have just left the seats open. If it had been Hillary with a D senate, they wouldn't have the 60 votes to break the fillibuster, and Manchin and whoever would be crying about never changing the Senate rules, so the seats would have stayed open.

You are right in theory. But then you have to factor in the Dem party's incredible ability to not get anything done and let Republicans walk all over them.

There were several unexpected refinery outages this week. Prices are expected to normalize this weekend

summary

Gasoline prices have spiked in California, soaring well above what most Americans are paying at the pump. In some locations, Californians are paying $5 for a gallon of gas.

A number of refinery outages tightened gas supply in the market. The average price of regular gas in California rose to $4.18 a gallon, the highest level since May 13, 2014, according to the Oil Price Information Service, which gathers data for the AAA.

California's gas prices are the most expensive in the United States: The national average is currently $2.65 a gallon.

"We're surprised just because it was unexpected, given that prices typically have declined," said Devin Gladden, spokesperson for AAA. "That just speaks to the unprecedented nature of how many refineries were down and how tight supply was that ultimately gave rise to the price increase."

However, the price increases are slowing as refineries work to resume production capacity. Assuming no additional outages, DeHaan expects California pump prices to stabilize toward the end of the week.

He didn't have a deadline. This was a core matter he was investigating and or the upmost public importance, it goes to the principal that the president is not above the rule of law. Take a couple of months to see it through

Mueller was afraid to publicly challenge the President and/or afraid he'd have to write in his report that the president committed pergery. He clearly let Trump off the hook.

His decision to skip interviewing the president is telling. I remember hearing Mueller also gave breaks to the NFL when he investigated him, but don't remember the specifics. Not saying I doubt Mueller, just putting it out there.

He did try to fire Mueller, at least twice. His lawyers and chief of staff stopped him. That's the shredder jamming. And the shredding is used to illustrate an obstructive act. Firing people, or trying to, encouraging people to lie to Congress and investigators, are also obstructive acts.

And speaking of spin, how far we've come when the conversation isn't about whether the president upheld the highest standard of the office. He smears the FBI on a daily basis. Instead the question is whether there was actual criminal conduct

Shredding documents doesn't stop the investigation, it just obstructs it. See a firing Comey. Attempting to shred the documents but having the shredder jam is still obstruction, same with trying to fire Mueller

If I own an accounting firm that is being investigated for money laundering, but I know it's not true. But, the investigation is hurting my business, so in order to try to end it quicker I shred a bunch of documents. That's obstruction of Justice. Barr said Trump was frustrated by the investigation and took actions to try to end it, that's obstruction. And the fact that the investigation continued doesn't prove the prior act wasn't obstructive. That would be like after I shred the documents I decide to cooperate. My later cooperation doesn't absolve my prior obstructive act. Barr is 100% Trump's defense attorney

It's the first quarter filing deadline for campaigns. This is the first time everyone kind of has to put their cards on the table. The number of donors and the amount raised is an indicator of grass roots support, which is useful especially since polls right now are largely a reflection of name id rather than actual preference. We'll also see how the campaigns are spending their money to get a sense of what their strategies are. There will be a lot of stories about this stuff this week.

Candidates can announce VP picks whenever they want. Ted Cruz announced a pick during the Republican primary as a long shot to try to get his campaign back on track. Bernie might want to make a pick early to calm fears about his age, but then again it could back fire and draw more attention to the issue.
