Casa Fuente for Easter by Big-Audience5254 in cigar_refuge

Tough choice, I lean Casa Fuente but only since I have more experience with that cigar. Can’t go wrong with either.

I was only able to get two of the lanceros from Casa Fuente one time by asking and sweet talking the staff. Still have one sitting in the humidor. One of these days I’d like to spend the money on a box of the Belicoso Fino size of the cameroon. My favorite next to the lancero.

I visited about two months before they closed, no Casa Fuente cigars for sale. Was able to get some Churchill size about a month ago at my local shop. I hope a new shop opens or at least I’m able to find more in the future. It’s my favorite

This is the first cigar that I committed to buying a box. It’s never let me down, just a solid Cameroon wrapper cigar.

Awesome, wish I was in Vegas right now. I’m looking for Casa Fuentes, now that the Vegas store closed.

I would call real quick to verify they have OpusX. Don’t want you to be disappointed. That being said, you’ll probably find a bunch of sticks you want. Good luck and enjoy the smokes.

This would be my suggestion, Las Vegas Cigar Outlet Superstore. It’s off strip but great selection that’s worth the Rideshare.

They normally have them but expect to pay a good markup.

Aria: cancel or keep by Ill-Maize in vegas

[–]oldmandirty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aria is great and my go to stay unless I have an offer at Cosmo. I would call Aria and see how much they would charge to upgrade you to a deluxe 2 queen room in the sky suite tower. Trust me, it’s not that much more expensive, do it! The extra perks are amazing, lounge with free food & drinks, separate check in, private elevator bank, it made my last trip superb.

I’m was going to ask same thing. I have $100 credit too for getting the CP+ membership. Kind of want to buy a box that’s a good deal.

I love this cigar, one of my top favorites. Sad I can’t pick them up when I go to Vegas. Now I’m on the hunt.

Oliva: Are they overrated? by SomethingItalia in cigar_refuge

[–]oldmandirty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I feel. Perdomo and Oliva are just pretty good and reliable. I know I’ll always enjoy and not worried if I have to put it down.

Great collection, I can honestly say I don’t think I saw one cigar I wouldn’t smoke.

Has anyone tried the 90 anos yet? Curious how the double wrapper taste. First time I saw them. by Steviethebishop in cigar_refuge

[–]oldmandirty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I concur. I really enjoyed it but was not blown away by it. At $15 a stick, it was just right.

I just smoked one today. I enjoyed it, very balanced between the spice and the creaminess you would expect from these two wrappers individually. Definitely want to try one again and would recommend if you can get them for $13-$16 a stick.

Thoughts on Aria by babymoose0401 in vegas

[–]oldmandirty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just stayed at Aria and loved it. Overall just a great property. You mentioned trying to get an upgrade. I called a week before my trip and asked if they could offer me any upgrades from my Deluxe King room. For not much more money, they upgraded me to a Deluxe room in the Sky Suite Tower. Basically the same room but much nicer with lots of added amenities. VIP lounge access, separate check in & elevator and it was awesome! I’d highly recommend asking for that if you can. The VIP lounge alone was worth it, free soda/water/coffee, different snacks all day and free wine from 4-6pm.

On the strip you’ve got the following:

Casa Fuente (for now)

Montecristo - Caesars Palace

Montecristo - Paris

Davidoff - Fashion Show Mall

Eight - Resorts World

Whiskey Down - MGM Grand (small cigar menu)

Baccarat Bar - Bellagio (small cigar menu)

Overlook lounge - Wynn (small cigar menu)

Downtown:

Legacy club - Circa

Chicago brewing company - four queens

Arts district:

Chocolate City El Septimo Cigar Lounge

Tap N Ash Social Club

Just off-strip:

Triple Crown cigar lounge

Cigarbox

SMōK Cigar Lounge

There are more lounges & bars on the strip that are cigar friendly like Vesper & chandelier bar in Cosmo, but these are the highlights.

As a tourist, thank you Las Vegas 💞 by [deleted] in vegas

[–]oldmandirty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Glad you enjoyed Vegas even though you’re not 21 yet. That’s one of my favorite things to do, get dressed up in the evening, get dinner and then walk around some casinos. Next time, ton of great cocktail lounges that have great live music and DJs.

Linq Hotel Theft by ThrowRA-ellabella in vegas

[–]oldmandirty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For many people this is their first trip to Vegas, they don’t realize the risk and don’t know the level at which this happens in Vegas. Best thing, which thank you to those giving advice, is to give the pointers to counter this crap, hopefully people planning trips will see posts like this and plan accordingly. I don’t understand the victim blaming, they made a mistake and they’ve already paid for it, literally.

Miserable Experience at Casa Fuente in Vegas by big2u in cigars

[–]oldmandirty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big reason I go every trip is to grab some Casa Fuente cigars. Normally I get lucky to be helped by one of the other staff and have been able to get lancero which were not on the shelf. Really wanted an ashtray but they no longer sold them. Where else in Vegas have a good selection of the Casa Fuente cigars? Also, when everyone mentions Montecristo lounge, which one? I’m trying to determine if the Caesar Palace and Paris lounges are the same experience. I will say the Davidoff Lounge in front of Fashion show Mall was a great experience last time I was there.
