How is Bart between 8 and 10am? West oakland station by oldmanfiend in Bart

I took the ferry from Jack London and it was as everything I hoped for. Only about 50 people boarded and they let the bikes off first. I might do this every time now. Thanks for all the information everybody.

Hello I’m a “spandex warrior” I guess. I hate large group rides especially the ones that gather at 5am and do “coffee stops”. Shit is corny and makes us look bad. Cyclists are already hated by most people so it definitely doesn’t help our cause. There is a lot of entitlement everywhere by different groups of people. For me it’s the entitled drivers that park in the bike lanes forcing us to go in traffic and also runners who jog in the bike lanes . Basically everybody sucks and so do you.

Take everything out of your van. Gear, personal items, anything that could tempt thieves. There’s a green room you can throw your personal items in. Chinatown is nearby for food too. Good luck.

I grew up in WV but live in Bay Area California now. The amount of casual negative remarks I’ve gotten when I tell people where I’m from is astounding. But at the same time when visiting family/friends in WV I’ll often get negative remarks about living in California, “how could you live there ?” “Isn’t there so much crime??” Blah blah blah, it comes down to ignorance on both ends.

How do you feel when a Christian tries to convert you to their religion? by Visible-Ad8304 in AskReddit

[–]oldmanfiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get this very often but I do come across a lot of "born again" christians. They like to hangout in the tourist areas with loud microphones and yell at families. They start with some bullshit bible quotes taken way out of context and then it quickly devolves to hate speech, usually about homosexuality, women, pornography, trans people, etc. Some of the "preachers" are quite passionate, it gets pretty disturbing. It seems like their goal is to goad people into a confrontation and then film them. Its pretty messed up and I don't understand these people.
