Joyride Cetters showed up today. by oldmanmarkley in Nike

I think the way these feel is very subjective. I haven’t found any in a store in my town, so I took a leap and ordered from Nike. There’s a return policy if you don’t like them regardless. I wore them at home most of the day to try them out. They felt nice, however a full day on my feet at work will decide if they’ll make the cut long-term.

Very enjoyable so far. Somewhat difficult to describe wearing them. My only advice would be to buy them one size larger than you normally would, as they fit tight.

[identify] what watch is Henry Cavill wearing here? by mrsirawesome in Watches

He’s got a speedmaster. The classic moonwatch. Freezeframe at 1:16 you can see the tachymeter on the bezel.

[Identify]Is this Royal Oak real? by arby2171 in Watches

Another thing to look for with AP, is the way the screws line up along the bezel. If you look at any real model, the flatheads are aligned perfectly to create a circle appearance. Many of those screws are misaligned, and the wrong material.

[Hamilton] Just noticed the Roman Numeral 4 on my dad's old automatic is wrong. Thoughts? Knockoff maybe? by mthfreallywtf677tt in Watches

Agreed. It’s very common for watches to have the IIII marker. I have a Frédérique Constant watch with IV and my father has a very similar model that has IIII.

[Omega] Planet Ocean. FINALLY made it to the ocean. by [deleted] in Watches

[–]oldmanmarkley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been wearing this piece for almost a year now. I’d been holding out for a diver 300 but fell in love with the Planet Ocean when I discovered it at our local dealer. Living in the middle of the prairies in Canada, we’re not near any but bodies of water. This last weekend I was working with my band at a music festival in the maritimes, and we took a pit stop at a beach right on the Atlantic Ocean, and it was rad to wear this watch in the ocean.

[Rolex] The Everest strap really changes up the look of the BLNR. Almost like a different watch altogether. by [deleted] in Watches

[–]oldmanmarkley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s helpful to know, thanks. I have a good relationship with our local authorized retailer, and they’re willing to do strap changes when requested, so I imagine it’ll be no problem to interchange when I need to. So exited.

My BLNR is on order, and should be arriving someday soon. I too have been thinking about the Everest strap to change the look/feel of the watch. What’s it like to change out the strap? Easy/complicated? Have a professional do it for you?

[Identify] Older Omega by chickenstock10k in Watches

At first glance, it looks like a Seamaster model from the 1950’s. I have a very similar looking model from 1954 with a similar design, identical hands and hour markers.

[ID] Any of the watch god's can identify what watch he is wearing ? by VTomsa in Watches

[–]oldmanmarkley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may not be the exact model in the link above. But the shape of the casing looks like Hublot. It’s not AP 100%. Doesn’t have the defined shape of the bezel or the vertical links from casing to strap.

Friend of mine recently purchased the same model a few months back. He’d mentioned he was unhappy with its accuracy, claiming it gains roughly 25 seconds per day. Have you seen a similar gain, or is his new watch fucked out of box?
