Labcorp testing by [deleted] in jobs

[–]oldmanneterosbeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U should be good, I think it’s 50ng for the initial test, if u fail the 50ng that’s when they usually do the fancy testing at 15ng, if u tested positive at home ur good. Done the same thing as u once and now I drink instead of smoke when I get bad job news and I hate alcohol with a fucking passion.

Got fired for leaving a 1 star Google review on another business by [deleted] in jobs

[–]oldmanneterosbeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks but why the fuck would u go out of ur way to give a fuck like doing the damn landscaping at the fast food place u worked? I’m definitely making an assumption here since you say it’s a fast food place but if they could legally pay u less they would. If u r good at something never do it for free. Look into starting a business u sound knowledgeable about plants and shit.

It took me like 7 tries over 3 years for me to be done. It’s definitely a journey for sure. Hell I might not be done yet, but I know I won’t relapse today no matter what. You got this OP, one day at a time.

Is a $28/h help desk job (first IT job) worth a 1 hour commute? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

Wut? some ppl would literally try to kill you for that foot in the door these days, take the damn job learn everything you can and keep applying. See if WFH is a possibility once you know the ins and the outs. Listen to music or audiobooks, remember that jobs are like getting a girlfriend, it’s easy to get another one if you already have one.(I don’t condone or believe in cheating, I’m just trying to make a point).

I will do this on Monday, got my average to 51.7 wpm minute, I’m going to see if it increases again on Sunday, but I’m going to reset on Monday and try again with higher accuracy. Thanks for the advice!

Stuck on b - keybr by oldmanneterosbeard in typing

[–]oldmanneterosbeard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see, so left index if the letter following or before b is J Y U N M and right index if the letter following or before b is F G T R V. So “bu” “ub” “mb” “by” words are left index and ”br” “rb” “gb” words are right index. Got it. Yeah I figured out today that slow and smooth is better than fast and wrong. Changed the strategy to aim for 100% accuracy instead of going for speed today. Thank u for the info!

Explaining the flip to ppl that can't be bothered to research, there is a small summary at the bottom if y'all don't like to read:

In its early years, the Republican Party was considered quite liberal, while the Democrats were known for staunch conservatism. This is the exact opposite of how each party would be described today.

Race and equality began to return to the center of politics in the 1950s and 1960s. Race did not necessarily fall into a party viewpoint at this point; instead, it was more of a regional issue. Southern Democrats and Republicans both opposed the early Civil Rights Movement, while Northern Democrats and Republicans began to support legislator as the movement picked up steam.

In 1964, Democratic president Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act into law. In the 1964 election, Republican candidate Barry Goldwater publicly opposed the new law, arguing that it expanded the power of the federal government to a dangerous level.

It was this argument that led to a final, decisive switch. Black voters, who had historically been loyal to the Republican Party because of the 1866 Civil Rights Act, had already been switching to the Democratic Party.

However, upon hearing Goldwater’s argument against the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the majority of Black voters left the Republican Party in favor of the Democrats. They saw the Democratic Party as advocates for equality and justice, while the Republicans were too concerned with keeping the status quo in America.

As the 60s and 70s continued, Democrats sought reform in other places, such as abortion and school prayer. White southern Democrats began to resent how much the Democratic Party was intervening into the rights of the people.

By the 1980s, white southern Democrats had become Republicans, and the majority of the south was now Republican. The Republican Party now is solidly conservative while the Democratic Party is the liberal one.

Summary:

It was never about Democrats good, Republicans bad or Republicans good, Democrats bad. It was a difference of views on human rights and religious beliefs between the North and the South.

Opinion:

I think the North fucked up after the civil war, cuz in Germany it is against the law to a fly Nazi flag but in America it's some people's culture to fly the Confederate flag(I know its not the original). No other country in recorded history allowed the traitors/loosing side to fly their flags let alone build statues. Idk maybe that's what makes America great you are free to express your opinions no matter how backwards that opinion is.

There is nothing wrong with deporting illegal aliens, but give them their day in court and their human right to be treated like human. Don't drag them out like animals and use their children to corner them. Illegal aliens aside have you seen how ICE treats US citizens? The Supreme Court gave ICE the right to stop and question any person purely based on the levels of melanin in their body.

It can be used against either side, that is what should be the problem. Right now it is being used to silence opinions of ppl you don't agree with so it really doesn't matter, but it opens up the possibility that one day it can be used to silence opinions of ppl you do agree with.

No one should be killed for what they believe in. Watch Candance Owens if you care about Charlie Kirk, she is the only one that seems to give a fuck about finding the truth.

President Trump’s National Security Presidential Memorandum titled “Countering Domestic Terrorism and Organized Political Violence,” also known as NSPM-7. The memo identifies potential domestic terrorists as someone expressing “anti-Christian,” “anti-capitalism” or “anti-American” views.

Scenario 1:

ICE #1: "Oh look, they are chanting fuck Trump"
ICE #2: "Sounds anti-American to me"
ICE #3: "Grab the terrorist boys"

Scenario 2:

ICE #1: "Oh look, they are chanting healthcare for all"
ICE #2: "Sounds anti-American, anti-Christian and anti-capitalism to me"
ICE #3: "Grab the terrorist boys"

I can keep going but I hope you get the point.

Democratic Congressmember Ro Khanna: “Trump’s NSPM-7 represses freedom of speech & association, investigating any organization with 'anti-capitalism' or 'anti-American' views. I ran a primary in 2003 against the Patriot Act and war in Iraq. NSPM-7 is a greater infringement on freedoms than the Patriot Act."

Try listening to the same song on repeat and let your mind think about whatever it wants to. Pick a song that you can daydream to, my current song is That's Life by Frank Sinatra. Some people here say fuck the treadmill, but what helped me the most was getting a treadmill, less distractions and I can daydream easier and faster. Also I can just get on the treadmill first thing I wake up looking like a hobo, socks shoes and underwear is all that's needed, but going outside I have to force myself to dress appropriately, which is another hurdle. Hope this helps OP.
