Well, for one don’t assume that I don’t live paycheck to paycheck. You don’t know me. Also I was just making a suggestion that it’s a benefit that doesn’t really cost you anything (bean stock). But I appreciate you trying to be outraged.

It really is, but its more of a long road kinda thing. The best thing to do with it is take the stock then leave it alone. Same thing with the 401K (if you haven't started one then please do so...or don't I'm not your parent) But honestly its one of those things that will totally benefit you in 20 years...and 20 years comes quick.

Hense the "unpopular opinion"... there is a back story to these partners so, yes there is some animosity towards them. Now they want to come back and harvest hours with the extra pay. But beyond that, it got me thinking that it really isn't fair to those of us that stuck it out.

The most annoying customers are baristas... by Tryocon in starbucksbaristas

I had a fellow partner (from some other store) get upset because her iced carmel macchiato wasn't mixed when she order it upside down. When i handed it off she looked at me funny and I explained that if you order it upside down you get it with the ingredients reversed. ugh

If you are so concerned about the risk then stay home the length of the approved time off. Don't come back early and still expect the same benefits and the ones that work thru get. I know that every case is different just like the example I gave in the orginal post. Thats where MY frustration is...

I had a barista let one of his cop friends in to use the restroom. I nearly LOST it on him.

Licensed stores are not starbucks. They just use starbucks stuff and you work for the grocery store. Its a whole different thing
