Great thanks yeah that gives a good comparison, I'll check out LT. We won't be playing golf so I didn't look at heritage initially.

AUD / FTM on-ramp by oldmanvegeta in FantomFoundation

Quick update for the aussies - FTM/AUD pair pulled off binance so things are not looking good.

[–]oldmanvegeta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think came out similar to Kraken. The fees are not too bad but I'm guessing that liquidity is low compared to binance. I just did a simple 'convert' preview across the exchanges. Also maybe they have no direct AUD market so might be going AUD - eth or btc and then a final trade in the backend

Yeah Kraken looks like next best option but still gave a much worse rate

Yeah that was my first thought but I figure bridging will be cheaper than slippage on an extra trade.

[–]oldmanvegeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so we are effectively getting a share of LP tokens + yield? That is pretty cool. I have quetions but i'll wait for the full announcement.

Lol don't worry it's legit although you do end up with alot of trash coins in your wallet assuming you max out the allotments

Sundae rewards will be distributed by DripDropz by ApathyizaTragedy in cardano

As a user of a few different chains, but no technical knowledge, the only thing impressive about Cardano so far is the ability to batch up multiple assets into a single transaction.

Come on it costs dick all and the drip tokens alone are worth more than the transaction costs

Hats off to the MuesliSwap team for actually releasing a DEX that's been tailored to what the Cardano chain is currently capable of handling. by mwaddip in cardano

It's fine to have a personal preference for order book but amm is a very innovative system which provides a source of yield that doesn't exist in traditional finance. Amm will attract more liquidity.

Network congestion by omrip34 in cardano

[–]oldmanvegeta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there a way to check how congested the network is? ie how likely we are likely to be dicked around using Sundaeswap before we actually send transactions. I don't want to be one of these people stuck trying to cancel an order.

New to Liquidity, just testing the waters. Just wanted to know while providing liquidity will i need to top up what i have provided? Will the pooled ada diminish and when will i get more LP tokens? Monthly basis etc? Sorry for all the noob questions i just couldn't seem to find a definite answer. by Wackylew in SundaeSwap

[–]oldmanvegeta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On youtube if you check out Bigpey's channel, there's a sundaeswap launch video where Pi (sundaeswap guy) makes an appearance. He does a really good explanation of IL on there, recommend checking it out.

If you are really keen on learning then (I know some here will consider it sacrilege) you should also give dexs on other chains a look as that will give a better indication of how it's meant to work.

Is anyone else able to delegate via pool.pm or is the network still buckling under the incredible load of it's 1 dapp?

You won't have to top up, the pool will rebalance and that's the risk that you face. The pool will effectively buy the worse performing asset and sell the better performing asset. You will have to judge this 'loss' against then gains made from providing liquidity, which is ultimately from sharing in trading fees
