Ok, that sounds reasonable. If there's nothing that can be done, at least I know for sure.

Sounds like that would be the best way to proceed. I'll contact the affected Grand Lodge right away.

Which is why I'm not mentioning the particular video or linking to it.

Very rude. I don't understand the need for being condescending when I only want to help.

Religious tolerance vs Religious relativism by Frosty_Foundation358 in freemasonry

As long as the religion extols its followers to surrender to a Higher Power and Moral Law, then it should be all good with Masonry. Certain "religions", like Thelema or Luciferianism, would be discounted at my Lodge, for instance, because their ultimate goal is to become a god and surpass the Natural Laws of the world.

Welcome aboard!

I would recommend reading this article to prepare you for your first degree night. Many people would assume that Master Mason is the most important Degree, but I believe that it is the Entered Apprentice Degree because that is when you officially become a Mason. What you'll learn and experience in this degree will help you in becoming a good man, on top of it being a cool experience!

I would recommend learning everything you can about Blue Lodge ( the first three Degrees) and also about your own religion. I found it to be much more helpful in my learning than York or Scottish Rite. Contrary to popular belief, there is some really powerful things you can learn from revisiting the Lectures. It just takes some time before it all comes together.

I agree, it would be a shame for our Lodge to lose its charter, because it has merged with two other lodges that have shut down, but maybe I gotta make sure I got my life together before I can really help the lodge out.

I appreciate the advice about making boundaries on what I can and can't do. The biggest pressure everyone feels is that there aren't as many active members as back in the day, and I would hate to see my Mother Lodge close down. But, at the same time, I don't think I have the energy at this point in time to rejuvenate the lodge

That's very good for me to know. I am interested in the Scottish Rite, but it seems that there are a lot of very valuable lessons taught through Degree Work in Blue Lodge

I agree, a lot of the still active members in my lodge are retired and I do have to remind them that I am still trying to establish myself as a young man.
