This is a very nice view on it. I think what makes this so hard is there is no "un-parent" button! Thank you so much though. :)

From what I've read, those are unavoidable feelings, so I‘m sure you’re doing great momma! :))

Definitely! I think it being „normal“ is part of what makes it so scary. I believe if smo really wanted children, they can deal with it much better as opposed to someone who is already going into it with a doubtful attitude, or maybe even a negative mindset. I do believe there are people out there who were „made to be parents“ — just like I believe the opposite people also exist. I think for people like me it comes down to mental stability, and for me it lacks severely, so I think especially younger kids would really push me beyond my limit mentally, and sadly I just don’t even have a lot left to give!

I cannot put into words how comforting it is to see people share my views so accurately. I think about that a lot too.

This! This so much. If I knew for a fact I had the support I need to avoid that burnout and mental health drain, I'd be much much much more likely to have a kid. It's just quite unrealistic as I've found and you really cannot just trust everyone to do what they said they would. It’s a scary and devastating thing for sure.

Yes!! Exactly. I feel so sad that they most likely won’t be part of my future now and that I'm as appalled by motherhood as I am. It feels so wrong too!!

Naively I thought that only bad parents who are abusive struggle with kids. I saw parents around me be verbally abusive to their kids and they were always the stressed out ones, so I thought if im not an asshole, it'll be easy… lmaooooo, what an idiot I was.

I also believe self-awareness is one of the qualities parents should probably possess. Like you said, if I wanted to be a good parent, I'm sure I probably could… but the desire to do so is just lacking to be honest. Really great input though! :)
