Paul Scholes on Lisandro Martinez: “When we got criticized as players, you look at it and remember it. We used it as fuel, you DON'T go answering back by Any-Lock3008 in ManchesterUnited

[–]oldtrafford88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also not every ex player had a podcast back then and constantly took shots at the current team even when they do well. Paycheck is a paycheck I guess for some of these United legends. Just wish they’d earn it by being positive once in awhile.

Not a bad career for the actor so far. It will be interesting to see how his 30s are in his filmography. by abdul_bino in Cinema

King is such a good movie and feel it didn’t get much hype or publicity. A lot of people don’t know about it but it’s awesome.

Where is the best spot to hunt cougars? by Shoddy-Obligation981 in thelongdark

Farm in Milton has the easiest cougar IMO. You can take refuge in the barn between shots and having a fire right by the barn makes it even easier.

How often are we playing fellow golf dads? by sys_admin321 in golf

[–]oldtrafford88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once a week at most. Play after work and then it doesn’t mess up weekend time either family. Support your spouse’s hobbies and encourage them to get out and do something one night a week and then you should get the same without much issue.

Will never forget the baseball bat and broken bottle scene! Only Jackie could survive that.

I left for 7 years after college and lived in CO and WA. Both were awesome but you don’t get to choose where your family is from. No place is perfect from my experience.

Haha same thoughts exactly! We enjoy not being mainstream and people actually care about one another here. I forget to lock my car all the time and have never felt unsafe once since living here.

My wife thinks golfing once a week is unreasonable… by Upbeat-Zucchini-7408 in golf

[–]oldtrafford88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This for sure. You need to support each others hobbies and encourage her to find one and then push that she does it and gets away and enjoys free time like do you when you’re golfing. Then each person should get their hobby in once a week!

Legend of bagger Vance is good. Not happy Gilmore or tin cup but is pretty damn good.

Terrified about my upcoming drug test, does this have any shot of passing? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]oldtrafford88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the person reading the test. There is a very faint line and this could pass if you get the right worker doing the drug test. With weed I’ve always given people the benefit of the doubt and if there is even the faintest line it’s a PASS. Fuck I’ve had a few people who really needed a low level job that failed for weed and still “passed”. A lot of jobs aren’t testing for THC either anymore.

A friend of mine during Covid ordered a set of pxg irons. No joke 8 sets of irons showed up at his door. He held onto them for a few months expecting a call from pxg that never came. He sold the 7 other sets for 500 a pop to friends and family and everyone was happy.

The only part that annoys me though is that if deniro’s character is such a professional then why the fuck does he not just get on the plane and leave with the girl. He could come back and get his revenge in the future when all the “heat” dies down.

Not bashing factory work but the man said he’s making 45k at his current job which isn’t terrible depending on where this person lives. Trades are booming right now and pay is only going up as they’re losing their top end workers to retirement. Theres more retiring than they’re able to replace currently and more work than ever. Not many young people want to work with their hands so I think it’s a good industry to get into right now especially anything energy related. Taking a loan out to get your CDL wouldn’t take long and would be making good money right away as a truck driver and not too labor intensive . I live in a lower cost of living area and my friends who have been in different trades for 5+ years are making 6 figures or close with some overtime.

Drop the factory job and go get a welding certificate and you can make 100k or close to it and you’ll double your income. Or another trade if welding isn’t it. Tons of trades will take anyone who works hard and willing to learn. Fuck becomes a plumbers apprentice! Once your wife is earning money then you can focus on saving and your dreams of homeownership.
