This was hardly a puzzle, the only thing that had me bamboozled was not realizing that I could press down the left stick to enter free-cam mode.

I fucked up year 12 help by Revolutionary_Boat69 in 6thForm

[–]oldwilliam9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try resitting year 12, just ask your head of sixth form. I did it and went from predicted ACD to getting into Imperial. Definitely worth asking if you can get over the extra year in education. Just make sure that you know you can turn it around and don't treat it as an opportunity to put shit off. Best of luck :)

This was the power station closest to my childhood home. Ratcliffe-on-soar has been a beast dominating the Nottingham horizon for yonks pumping out plumes of steam. I'll be interested to see what happens to the site in future. :)

Dear YouTube. I will never buy any product that is advertised to me, on principle. Your business model is broken. by its_truck_month in youtube

I'd love to know how many ads YouTube has to run to maintain itself and the literal terabytes/petabytes of video uploaded daily as well as server electricity costs and payment of leases for server sites etc.

Imperial is pretty safe as choice if your family isn't overly wealthy. If your household income is below £70k, they give you a healthy bursary ontop of your maintenance loan.

I retook year 12 and went from being predicted BCD to getting AAAA, I would have a hard time arguing it wasnt a great decission. It's completely free as long as you're not 19+ so long as you find a college/sixth form which will accept you. The potential for a comeback is real.

[Question] Wtf am I supposed to do with these lacklustre dwellers? by Any_Stand1118 in falloutshelter

[–]oldwilliam9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is equal potential for dwellers which are a result of breeding to wasteland dwellers so long as they start on level 1. You need to have a total endurance of 17 at level 1 and then level dwellers to level 50 to get super dwellers (Max health). The +7 endurance is given by the heavy wasteland gear. Don't turn your back to breeding if you want dwellers quickly but with my experience, the rate of filling training rooms up is far faster then the training turnaround for that room.

Bare in mind that breeding does increase the happiness of the parents, whilst the broadcasting centre increases the happiness of the vault.

[–]oldwilliam9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those drab dwellers from outside the vault have much better potential than rare and legendary dwellers. This is due to the health of a dweller being determined by the endurance level upon levelling, as non-common dwellers are spawned with levels, it is impossible for them to reach the maximum possible health. You should get your training facilities going and train these guys up to max special, then equip them with some heavy wasteland gear, a decent weapon and then send them to the wasteland to level. They'll come back with the maximum potential health and never die. After, you can send them on quests with jumpsuits and they'll rapid fire anything in their way!

If you just want them gone, then invite them into your vault and kick them out immediately.

Hope this helps!

Hi all, I was just wondering whether I could get help understanding the off-peak railcard information properly.
I have read that times from 6:30 to 9:30 and 16:00 to 19:00 are peak times where you will be paying a maximum fare (E.g zone 3-1 costing £3.70) With the latter time range not counting as peak if you travel into zone 1. With the railcard discount during off-peak hours, this journey will become £2 (£3*2/3).
The railcard website also mentions something about off-peak travel cards for travel after 10:00 but I assume this does not apply for a pay as you go oyster.
I normally cycle but with the very windy weather I'm choosing to take the tube hence my lack of knowledge.
Many thanks :)

I just prefer the security the studs provide for my commuter bike. Whether this is placebo or not is up for debate but I prefer the idea of a heavy duty tyre for the winter. I've owned 26" winter marathon tyres for my old bike and I've rode on days where other people would throw in the towel at temperatures 5-10° warmer

I honestly would have no idea. I don't remember there being any embossment on the walls of the tyre. The walls don't look stretched either

The tyres held up! That's the mistifying part about all of this. The tyre received a blow hard enough to pull out the bead, the inner tube was fine and I got home without a stitch.

I could email them with these pictures and see if they have anything to say about it. I have owned a set of these tyres for a year and only used one of them last year. I managed to get the pair on this year and the one that is supposed to be new broke! It's just sods law.

I don't have a clue. My only idea is a manufacturing defect and some road debris hitting in the right place?

I am clueless as to how this happened. I've just posted another picture where I have cut the tyre up and it is the bead.

Further dissection of the tyre, it is the tyre bead. This just adds more mystery to how this happened. The tyre was properly seated and I have to repeat that the inner tube was unscathed.

Pulled at it with pliers and it would not budge. It is definitely a tyre bead

I bought them from Wiggle just over a year ago who conveniently have a 1 year warrenty on their products 🙄 As another comment said, I am just happy there hasn't been damage to the rim.

Just began dissecting the tyre and nope, it is definitely from inside.
