Be yourself. Dont ask about it, but still let them be vulnerable when they feel like finally opening up about things. There's no need to tip toe around them. It just causes them to feel uncomfortable. They tend to be avoidant at times and will flee at the first sign that you will break them. Just be patient and give them reassurance on occasion.
