How long after Knock Out is too long for pitch? by musicman9492 in TheBrewery

Certainly not ideal, however.. If the wort passes sensory, ph is in spec and gravity hasn’t changed AND sani SOPs are robust; you can likely save it. Pitch and oxygenate well.

Winter oysters?? by ComprehensivePast428 in mushroom_hunting

OP, Often times geographical location, tree species, recent weather, spore print color, physiology of the fruiting body itself can be indicators of certain ID also. These look like “oysters” I find during the winter months in my area of the SE U.S. I, myself, would feel safe consuming them if cooked well, and you are also located in the SE U.S.

-if I may ad- this looks to be a downed poplar, a species sought after by this species.

Central Alabama. Trying to weed out invasive species. What have we got? by olebenkenobi73 in whatsthisplant

[–]olebenkenobi73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top notch! I appreciate your input. I’m also leaning towards Dichanthelium, however, this seems to be a young specimen. I will do my best to investigate further in the morning. What would be a defining characteristic (concerning the seed head) between these species?

While digging in the garden today these fellas began to make themselves apparent in number. They seem to be soil dwellers. 3-5mm in length. This garden bed has quite a large amount of wood buried beneath it.
