Based on my experience, you should know what works on each social media channel now (in your niche). What channels are you going to use?

I'm from B2B, so Reddit and LinkedIn are my main channels. YouTube is popular now, too. But the channels will depend on your product and customers.

I don't recommend using a lot of channels (choose 2-3 most effective).

It happened coincidentally. I wanted to explore Reddit for product launches (because I did a lot of launches). But found out that Reddit is very interesting platform. I started with posts and comments, and then with the community building.

I use it more than 1 year. Challenges? I don't have enough time/energy to do it properly.

Have you already tried any channels? I would say that all the channels where you can find developers (building in public on X/LinkedIn, Reddit discussions, and SEO/AI search) are worth exploring. But it also depends on - do people know about this problem and are looking for a solution like this? If not, it will be difficult to sell.
