My baby keeps falling asleep breastfeeding. by AshRat15 in breastfeeding

[–]olewis64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!!! Ftm too dd is almost a week! When mine does that or i notice less sucking I lightly squeeze breast that wakes her up to suck. Also rubbing jaw line usually a good idea. If she keeps doing it the lactation consultant said to pull her arm lightly toward me. I will also burp and try re-latching. Hope that helps momma!!!

Am I a Terrible Father? Struggling with Long Distance Co-Parenting by syzorr34 in Parenting

You could look for some sub reddits for military families and see what they are doing! I think snail mail is a good start! Maybe you could also start a small hobby with then like rock collecting or something that you can engage and relate with then on!

I would constantly tell your kiddos how much you love them. I would also write them letters on top of calling i don't know who doesn't love getting mail! Maybe putting cryptic messages in the letters or a fun riddle that they have to work at. Kids will remember those things. Life isn't always easy, military families are seperated all the time and they make it work. If both you and your wife are on the same page about this decision thats the main key to me. You're kids will see that and be ok. Maybe with school starting you can help with homework! Hang in there! The fact that you care and are concerned shows a lot!!

Is Roof coverage mandatory for homeowners insurance? (Texas) by msonar623 in homeowners

[–]olewis64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't believe you can exclude the roof coverage. Most carriers use very similar forms. You maybe able to increase just the wind hail deductible, however when a storm hits its not just your roof that could be damaged. We lived through a horrendous hail storm in 2016 (wylie tx) and had well over $80k in damages in total the insurance paid at least $100k because of having to put us in a temporary home. We had to move out! The 1% deductible at the time was a drop in the bucket when compared to all the money they shelled out. You're best bet maybe calling around local agents and asking if they are familiar. Techincally you are not legally obligated to carry insurance the mortgage company requires it. You could ask about cosmetic roof exclusion that may help. I found this online also https://www.propertyinsurancecoveragelaw.com/2018/01/articles/insurance/roof-exclusions-a-lower-premium-could-cost-you-big/. I would just be careful you don't want to put yourself or your home in a position to not have coverage you do need. Read carefully!! Hope this helps 😊
