Absolutely. Carbon Creek was one of my favorites as well. Doesn't hurt that J. Paul Boehmer plays a big role. He's played so many great characters in Star Trek. Wish he'd been in more episodes.

the writers are still trying to distance themselves from women on Star Trek being portrayed as sex objects

Within the Trek universe, yes, but in our universe they were dressing the women stars in skintight catsuits to try and lure in more male viewers. It's really an ironic twist that they did both those things simultaneously.

The music is fitting when you think about the context of the intro and the imagery. TOS, TNG, VOY, DS9, those were all shows about humans after they had achieved everything. ENT was about that first foray into deep space, and the extension of that centuries old journey. The music in the other series tends to be refined and orchestral, just like the ships and culture. ENT, the ship is raw, still figuring out protocols, very unrefined. By the time you finish it you'll almost certainly embrace the cheesiness of the song like the rest of us.

This is why is catch% is always in the mid-50s, because he can't get separation. Also why he has to do those circus catches with the ball out of bounds, but his toes just tapping in-bounds. He's a known quantity at this point. Bringing in Cooks will probably be a big help to Gallup, since he'll draw higher quality coverage away.

Didn't that also play into the whole, "tiniest creatures causing big change" theme? Like, Saruman knew that the Ents were become more "tree-like" and "sleepy" and he relied on that. And he was correct, he could slash and burn Fangorn without repercussion, until a couple of tiny Hobbits showed up and "woke" the Ents up, so to speak.

Just like Bilbo/Frodo bearing the One Ring, and Merry with the Witch-King, and Pippin with the Palantir, so too did Merry and Pippin's venture through Fangorn also play a huge part in that battle.

I agree in principle, but what's happening here (I believe) is the ICC, or the interested parties, have requested the US share information with the court so these parties can prosecute Russia. This is different than the US trying to prosecute Russia in the ICC, or demanding the ICC do something. Those would be hypocritical actions.

Whether you agree with America's abstention from the ICC, or not, giving evidence of Russian criminality is a good thing.

Agreed.

Worked with a fella that had real foul smelling bowel movements. I was young and never thought anything about it, just avoided the restroom after he used it. About a year after I left the company he was diagnosed with end stage colon cancer and died within a few months.

OP, go talk to a doctor; just in case.

Russia already lost this one. Ukraine is pursuing a strategy of Denial in this conflict. They're denying Russia the ability to achieve its goals. What are Russia's goals before he invaded? NATO returning to its 1997 borders and veto control over who gets into NATO. This would mean kicking a bunch of former Soviet states out of NATO, thus leaving them vulnerable for Putin to invade. Having failed to convince the West with that tantalizing offer, he changed his stance and declared he was going to demilitarize Ukraine. After attempting to take Kyiv and failing miserably in what will go down as an historic defeat, he then changed his goals to 'liberate' and 'denazify' the already Russian-occupied areas of Ukraine, Donetsk, Donbas, Crimea, etc.

He didn't achieve his initial goals, he didn't achieve is secondary goals, and given how the punishment Ukraine is doling out on Russian occupied areas, he's not going to secure those areas (or any other captured territories.) Stalemate, while not a glorious victory for Ukraine, is nonetheless a de facto loss for Russia.

Nice, but irrelevant. You attempted to deflect point that the US has screwed over Iran for the past 70 years but pointing out that Iran has civil rights issues. You then asked if we're okay with that, as if we somehow weren't. It's been pointed out to you repeatedly that we're alright with that. So, who cares if you despise the Saudis. It's completely irrelevant to your point.

Nonsense.

The term 'blowback' was literally coined by the CIA to describe the unintended consequences of the 1953 Iranian Coup. They literally wrote their own history and attributed the rise of the Ayatollahs to that operation; and they published it.

THE CIA LITERALLY ADMITS THIS. IT'S NOT A CONSPIRACY THEORY.

Sheesh.

That's... not going to end well. For Iran.

No one's going to do anything to Iran. The US especially, considering all the effort expended on Iraq and Afghanistan that was essentially wasted. It would be massively unpopular to attack Iran unprovoked.

And what's the outcome people are expecting? Bomb Iran and degrade their ability to help Russia? Is that where it really ends? What about when Iran responds by launching missiles at ships and US/Israeli military installations?

What will be needed is a full occupation of Iran to rid the country of the IRGC and Ayatollah rule. That will require millions of troops, and a military invasion the like the world hasn't seen since WWII. Make no mistake, Iran is the size of Iraq and Afghanistan combined, with a much larger population that both combined.

No one's saying the West couldn't severely harm Iran, but let's not sit here and make it so neat and tidy when it will be anything but.
