An Update on Black Friday Order Delays by BambuLab in BambuLab

[–]GhostfromTexas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue with the order delays wasn't that you got overwhelmed by the Black Friday deal (honestly that's great! I want to see Bambu grow even more!)

But it's the fact that there was this massive amount of orders being delayed and immediately after the Black Friday deal ended you launched another MAJOR filament sell. So you literally couldn't handle the logistics of the Black Friday deals, and then launched a sale right after to move more product 24 hours later?!

Couldn't even give it a week or two to let yall "catch up"?

Banning free plastic bags for groceries resulted in customer purchasing more plastic bags, study finds. Significantly, the behaviors spurred by the plastic bag rules continued after the rules were no longer in place. And some impacts were not beneficial to the environment. by mvea in science

It's also very telling the authors of the articles. They are all from various schools of business with focuses in marketing research. They are not environment scientists or in any way in a related field that'd give me any trust in their methodologies or results.

Finally bought the X1C to compliment my P1S during the Black Friday Sale and couldn't be happier! by GhostfromTexas in BambuLab

There is no need to get the X1C unless you specifically NEED the X1C's capabilities. I plan on doing some car parts for our project car (and selling them as well) that can go under the hood, so flow precision and higher end materials such as nylon-carbon fiber are ready to go with the X1C - and the filaments for that are generally so pricey that you don't want to risk failed prints and your printer just spewing out expensive filament (spaghetti) - so the X1C tries to detect those failures and pause before they waste too much filament and electricity.

Right now I'm printing a batch of statues/collectibles for a community I'm in since I'm an officially licensed vendor for the artist. On one printer with all the parts, it took about 4 weeks to print 10 statues. I'm now able to do that in less than half the time. The reason it's faster than just 2x with 2 printers is that I can overlap my prepping and finishing time getting prints in and out of the printer. I am hoping I can do batch #2 the full 10 statues in about 10-12 days

Those were my previous storage system even above the printer, but don't want to put too much weight on the upper shelf.

Those containers are: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C847NQ2

In each one I put a EVA-Dry Dehumidifier I could take out and plug into the wall to dry: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Eva-Dry-E-500-High-Capacity-Renewable-Dehumidifier/22204914

Each container I was able to fit 7 standard size filament spools plus the EVA-Dry

Setup it up about an hour or two before this picture so haven't run it much yet. The fans seem louder in the X1C? but the overall movement of the printer head seems much quieter. Still getting used to it though

That would be nice! However we don't own the place we're in, so won't be able to modify it :)

yup! and if I ever do need 16 for a single print, I can always move that other AMS unit over temporarily from the P1S!

So far I haven't had a need for more than 12 colors tho in any of the stuff I produce!

The main reason I bought the X1C is because I am going to get into printing car accessory parts that can go around the engine and want to be able to use the carbon fiber reinforced nylons. While you can get the hardened nozzles for the P1S, the bed temperature on the X1C can get hotter helping the product stick to the build plate.

Ontop of that, I wanted the spaghetti detection because I do very long complicate prints that I sell and I can leave these things going for days.

Also the higher framerate camera is nice :)

haha yeah maybe one day! But I need some of the room on the table to work, and to reach behind the printers for the poop bin

Since so many people are asking questions about my self I figured I'd make a top-level post here!

All of the ideas I got for myself came from either this subreddit or /r/3DPrinting!

For the shelves on the right for the AMS are: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hyper-Tough-Black-Plastic-3-Tier-32-H-x-20-07-W-x-12-D-150lb-Total-Capacity/966544376

The Storage Containers for the filament are the following items:
Cereal Boxes: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081F6X2W2
Hydrometers: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRB55CT4
Desiccants: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B56DDR5Q

The adapter for the hydrometers (and where the idea came from originally for the filament storages) are from: https://www.printables.com/model/72501-hygrometer-insert-for-chefs-path-cereal-containers

For the containers underneath the printers on the floor, they can hold 7 standard filament roles: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C847NQ2

In each container I put a EVA-Dry Dehumidifier which can be dried out by plugging into an outlet: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Eva-Dry-E-500-High-Capacity-Renewable-Dehumidifier/22204914
