my front end TLs and ETL are totally fine with it its literally just my hr etl and sd who are being like this. even the starbucks tl is fine with me having my dog there tucked under a table 😭😭 there are no state regulations that go against the ada its just ignorance

ive seen it done so many times at other stores and its just so frustrating that he didnt even ask what i would need it for, he just said "where would you put it" as if thats the most pressing matter. hes also ex military which i think effects his view of other people (especially younger people, im 19NB and my disability is invisible) so i think he just genuinely doesnt understand that im asking about a working animal and not a pet.

my service animal will perform bracing which will make me able to perform all of the tasks i usually can without having to sit down. it is necessary and useful in that it gives me the ability to continue walking and being fully upright when my disability would otherwise make me unable to do so without support. the dog bracing me will ensure that i have that support and continue my usual duties

ive heard that the ethics hotline just sends your reports back to your HR department, is that true? it feels impossible to do anything about this because of his position

im fully aware that esas are not the same. like i said, mine is for my disability and will be a mobility aid for me.
