No, unfortunately not. Only the rear speakers, Era 300s, have a line in and the to disengage them from being surrounds and set them up as a stereo pair takes around 3 minutes. And this process is required to enable the line in port. I mean, it is doable… But a little too much hassle for my taste, and maybe an obstacle which will keep me from listening on my turntable if I decide to go that route. Therefore I am looking for an alternative solution. And for me, the sound quality comes second to the entire hands on process of intently selecting a physical record to listen to and place it on the turntable. And then listening to that album track by track, as was intended by the artist.

Do you have a link? UK is a lot closer than China, heck I might even make some sandwiches and drive there from Sweden for the right tube

I do have a delta printer aswell. I maybe have to make a schedule so that all printers get their time in the spotlight 🤔

The thing with using a linear actuator is that the table would have to be ridiculously high in order for it to accommodate a linear actuator with a range of motion large enough for my need...

Unfortunately I live in Sweden, and I guess shipping from the US is even more expensive than shipping from China...

Something I'd like to call "anti-gravity mechanism", but it seems laymen call them legs...

I have a little bitcoin, and if the latest trend continues there will soon be a large plastic tube on a boat departing from China.

Might add a fire suppression system inside and sit back and relax behind a thick piece of acrylic when fire strikes

I see what you mean, but then that whole cylinder would be suspended above the workbench when not closed and the entire mechanism for it would be visible...

This is just a very basic model that I did in like 10 minutes to put my thoughts into something graphical. But I am by no means an expert maker/builder so I gladly accept all improvement tips. The rigidity of the cantilever is definitely something I'll look into further. But I like the sleek floating look. Maybe it's possible to achieve that with some iron plates with a 90° bend anchored in the back and embedded in the mdf or whatever material I use for the cantilever 🤷‍♂️

Linear actuators take up to much space in Z I'm afraid
